PULEET is the short form of Panjab University Lateral Engineering Entrance Test. It is organised by the admission authority of Panjab University, Chandigarh, for admission to the second year of the four-year Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree. The PULEET exam will be conducted for 100 marks, consisting of multiple-choice questions. There shall be negative marking for the wrong answer. That is, one fourth of the of the marks will be deducted for wrong answers, and for each correct answer, one mark is to be awarded.

Only candidates who have passed or are appearing in the qualifying examination for a particular course can apply for the entrance test. PULEET 2026 Application Process

The PULEET 2026 application form will be released online. Those candidates who meet eligibility criteria will be able to submit the PULEET 2026 application form until the last date only. Candidates should fill the application form with correct details only; otherwise, they will be liable for rejection. They should not send the application form through any mode other than online. The application process encompasses various stages like registration, filling the application form, uploading a photo & signature, fee payment, etc.

PULEET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should meet the eligibility criteria to apply for the exam. The admission authority will not entertain the application of non-eligible candidates. Check the eligibility criteria of PULEET 2026 below:

  • Candidates should have passed a Diploma in Engineering of a minimum of three years duration with 60% (55% for SC/ST/BC/PwD) after class 10 with Physics and Mathematics, or 
  • Candidates should have passed a Diploma in Engineering (min. two years) with 60% (55% for SC/ST/BC/PwD) after Class 12 or
  • Candidates who have passed DVoc from a Polytechnic college/institute with 60% (55% for SC/ST/BC/PwD) will be eligible for admission to the second year of BE program in the same stream only.
  • Candidates should have cleared the compartment in Diploma in Engineering before applying for the exam.
  • Admission would be made based on merit obtained in the Entrance Examination PULEET 2026 conducted by the Panjab University, Chandigarh.
