CUET mock test 2026 will be released soon at NTA official website- nta.ac.in. Candidates preparing for CUET exam must take mock test to become familiar with the pattern and mode of exam. Mock test are helpful resource. Practising through regular CUET UG mock tests will help candidates with the chances of scoring high in CUET UG. Once the candidates complete their CUET preparation, they must shift their focus to solving CUET previous year question papers, mock tests and sample papers. Candidates will not require any pre-registrations to appear for CUET UG mock test 2026.

CUET UG 2026 datesheet for subjects will be announced soon. NTA CUET 2026 exam will be held tentatively from May 11 to May 31 CBT mode. The exam will be conducted for a duration of 60 minutes for each subject. Candidates can appear for maximum five CUET subjects.

The CUET General Test is moderate in difficulty level. The exam is not very difficult if the candidate is prepared well for the exam. CUET General Test assess candidate's basic aptitude, reasoning and general awareness. Q:   What is the difficulty level of the CUET exam?
A: 

The difficulty level of the CUET exam varies between moderate and tough. Since the CUET UG exam is held for multiple subjects and slots, the difficulty level of the exam varies from subject to subject. Sometimes, the difficulty level may also vary for different slots. While for the well-prepared candidates, the difficulty level will be low, for the underprepared students, the level of difficulty will be on the higher side.  

Q:   What is the CUET marking scheme?
A: 

NTA prescribes the CUET UG marking scheme. Check below to know the CUET UG marking scheme 2026:

  • Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Five marks (+5)
  • Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).
  • Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0).
  • If more than one option is found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
  • If all options are found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
  • If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or a question is dropped, then all candidates who have attempted the dropped question will be given five marks (+5) marks.
Q:   How many answer choices will be there in CUET UG?
A: 

CUET UG 2026 question paper will include four answer options for each question. Candidates must read the questions carefully and mark any one of the options which is correct. Candidates will get negative marking for every wrong answer. Hence, candidates must attempt questions carefully  to avoid any negative marking.

CUET UG langauge section will now consist of 13 languages instead of 33 languages. The 13 langauges of CUET UG 2026 are: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Whereas, the languages which have been deleted are: Arabic, Bodo, Chinese, Dogri, French, German, Italian, Janpanese, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Manipuri, Nepali, Persian, Russian, Santhali, Sindhi, Spanish, Tibetan, Sanskrit.

Q:   What is duration of CUET mock test?
A: 

Mock test of CUET UG is exactly based on entrance examination. Total duration of CUET UG mock test is 60 minutes for each CUET subject. Candidates must complete mock test within allotted time. After time is over, test will be automatically submitted. No extra time will be provided to candidates. Using this mock test, candidates can practice time management and learn how to utilize the allotted time correctly to finish the examination within the time duration.

Q:   What type of questions are asked in the CUET exam?
A: 

The CUET questions are objective in nature and carries four options also known as MCQs. Candidates will have to choose the correct answer option and click on it with the help of mouse. Since CUET UG 2026 exam will be conducted in a CBT mode, test-takers will be able to mark only one answer option. In case it is the correct option, students will get +5 marks and in case of wrong answer, negative marking scheme will be applied. Hence, candidates must ensure the accuracy of the answer before selecting the answer. 

Q:   What is the total score in CUET UG?
A: 

CUET UG total marks is 250 Marks for each subject. Candidates can choose up to five CUET subjects. Each subject paper has 50 questions which will total to 250 marks for each subject. For every correct answer, candidate will get 5 marks. The CUET total marks will be uniform for all 37 subjects. The Total CUET subjects marks can vary depending on the number of subjects chosen by candidates.

  • If three CUET subjects chosen: 750 total marks
  • If four CUET subjects chosen: 1000 total marks
  • If five CUET subjects chosen: 1250 total marks
