National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) notification 2026. Candidates can now download the official CUET information bulletin 2026 at cuet.nta.nic.in and check details about CUET domain subjects, dates, exam pattern, eligibility, reservation, application form, exam centres, and results. As the CUET 2026 registrations have commenced, candidates must check the information bulletin before filling online form.

CUET UG 2026 will be a computer-based test which will be tentatively scheduled between May 11 and May 31, 2026. NTA will announce the exact CUET exam date 2026 soon. Q: When will be CUET UG exam conducted?

CUET UG 2026 exam will be conducted in May/June for 37 subjects. The mode of examination is CBT (Computer Based Test). NTA did not release official notification for CUET UG date sheet. Candidates can know exam details through CUET UG information bulletin. NTA will conduct CUET UG 2026 exam in multiple phases depending upon the number of candidates registering for the exam. About NTA: Conducting Body

National Testing Agency will conduct the CUET 2026 examination in multiple windows. The examination will be conducted for admission to UG programs of the participating universities across India. The role of NTA is confined to registering candidates, conducting the test, hosting answer keys, inviting challenges, finalising answer keys, preparing and declaring CUET results, and hosting scorecards. The role of NTA will end soon after the release of CUET 2026 results.

CUET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria to appear in the CUET 2026 exam. Failing which applicant’s candidature will stand cancelled. CUET 2026 eligibility criteria state the age criteria and educational qualification requirements.

CUET Exam Pattern 2026

CUET mode of examination, duration, sections and number of questions for each section are updated in notification PDF. The table below mentions the CUET exam pattern 2026:

Candidates will be issued the CUET admit card 2026 online. Only candidates who will pay the CUET application fee will be able to download the CUET 2026 admit card when released. Candidates will not be permitted to enter the examination hall without the admit card. Candidates will be given details for contact in case of any discrepancy in the CUET admit card. The date of downloading the CUET admit card will be announced by NTA. Applicants must note that they will not be issued the CUET admit card physically.

CUET: Important Instructions to Candidates

Candidates are advised to read the instructions for CUET UG exam carefully. Any candidates not obeying the guidelines will be disqualified for admission to participating universities.

CUET 2026 Exam Cities

Cities where CUET exam will be conducted will be mentioned in the CUET notification. Candidates can select four chosen cities while filling out the CUET application form 2026. NTA will allot the CUET exam centre as per availability. CUET exam centre 2026 will be spread across more than 306 cities in India.

CUET 2026 Answer Key

NTA will display the CUET 2026 provisional answer key soon after the all slots are over. Candidates will be able to check their response and answer key. Applicants will be able to challenge the CUET answer key by paying the fee of INR 200.

Only paid challenges will be considered for verification. Challenges without justification/evidence will be rejected.

Based on the challenges received, NTA will release the CUET final answer key soon after.

CUET 2026 Results

CUET results 2026 are expected to be announced in first week of July 2026 at cuet.nta.nic.in. Only candidates who will appear for the exam will be able to download their scorecard online. CUET result 2026 will be based on the final answer key.

CUET Service Centres

Candidates who are not well-versed and are facing difficulties in filling the CUET application form can use the common service centre. There are more than 1.5 lacs CUET service centres across country.

CUET score will be accepted by 46 central universities and in more than 200 universities (state, private and deemed) across India. Candidates must check the programs and courses offered by the CUET participating universities, which are available at their official websites.

Q: Is CUET syllabus based on CBSE syllabus?

No, CUET syllabus is not based on CBSE syllabus as claimed by Education Ministry in Rajya Sabha. The CUET exam is designed to assess the general understandig of the candidate in subjects he/she has opted for. CUET UG is on of the biggest UG entrance exam carnival conducted for admission in cebtral, state, private and deemed universities.

Q: is it enough to learn from NCERT textbooks to clear CUET?

Since the CUET UG 2026 syllabus is in line with the Class 12 Board exam syllabus, it can be safely assumed that the NCERT books are enough to clear CUET UG 2025 exam. Candidates must note that, CUET exam tests students' understanding of the concepts and ability to apply them in various situations. Therefore, to prepare well and get a good score, it is advised that students refer to other study materials and books designed for national level competitive entrance exams. The CUET UG syllabus is in tune with the Class 12 Board exam syllabus. The chapters and topics are similar to Class 12 syllabus. Unlike other UG entrance exams, CUET UG syllabus does not include Class 11 syllabus.

Q: What are the CUET admit card important dates?

CUET 2026 admit card will be released in second week of May prior to the date of examination. CUET 2026 exam will be scheduled in May/June in CBT mode. Only candidates who will register for the entrance exam will be able to download the CUET admit card. NTA will release the CUET intimation slip for CBT Mode before the CUET admit card. With the help of CUET intimation slip candidates can know the exam centre details in advance to prepare for the arrival at CUET exam centre on time. CUET intimation slip does not act like CUET admit card.

Q: When will CUET DU CSAS portal open?

DU CSAS portal 2026 will be actiavted at ugadmission.uod.ac.in. University of Delhi launchs CSAS portal 2026 in June. Candidates who will appear for the CUET 2026 exam can register at DU CSAS 2026 portal. Candidates will be required to enter the college and course preference and pay the DU CSAS registration 2026 fee to participate in the admission process. On the basis of the choices entered and CUET 2025 percentile, candidates will be alloted college and course. CUET 2026 result will be declared in first week of July 2026 at cuet.nta.nic.in.

Q: Who conducts CUET UG counselling?

The CUET UG counselling is conducted by the universities acepting CUET UG scores seperately. Candidates will have to apply seperately for each university to appear for the CUET UG counselling process. National Testing Agency (NTA) has no role in conduction counselling process for CUET UG admissions. The participating universities conduct CUET counselling on the basis of candidate's CUET score and college preferences. CUET UG scores are accepted by more than 150 universities across India. The number of UG courses offered through CUET UG varies from university to university. Top central university like Delhi University offers 79 UG courses, BHU offers 18 UG courses and so forth.
