The state board conducts the AP SSC exams which has a different grading system, i.e the GPA system. It has grades from A to E on the basis of performance and marks scored by a candidate. The subjects except Hindi are of 100 marks each and have two parts, each requiring a minimum of 18 marks for passing. Students will find objective type, very short answer type, short answer type, and essay type questions in AP SSC examinations. In order to get acquainted with this pattern, they must solve the sample papers to avoid difficulties while attending the exam. They must know the AP SSC Syllabus of each subject and leave no topic unread. Regular practice and revision can help in attaining the desired results in the exam. The state board has also released model question papers on its website.

The BSEAP exams 2026 will be conducted for a total of 3 hours. Additionally, 15 minutes will be given for reading the question paper.

Candidates need not worry if they did not clear the Andhra Pradesh 10th exam. They can appear for the Andhra Pradesh SSC supplementary exam 2025. Those who get 35-42 marks are given D2. Those who score 34 or less than 34 are given E grade.

No, examiners will not deduct marks for exceeding the word limit. Marks will be deducted for spelling mistakes in the Language Papers. Students are advised to be carefull with the spellings, so that they won't loose any marks. They are also advised not to waste time by writing much more than the word limit.

Exam Pattern and Grading for Class 10

The Class 10 Board exam is conducted to evaluate students and for this, the State Board has introduced a unique grading system. The new grading system is designed to ward off the burden of education from the shoulders of the student. The new grading system adopted by the Andhra Pradesh Board is the GPA System.

Under the GPA System, grading pattern is introduced where students are assigned grades between A – E based on the performance and marks obtained by them. The following table will help the students in understanding the new grading pattern adopted by the Board of Intermediate Education Andhra Pradesh.

The BSEAP had made reforms in the Class 10 exam pattern. For the ease of understanding, provided below is the new exam pattern to be followed by BSEAP:

  • The question paper will carry questions of 100 marks, except for Hindi subject
  • Each subject shall consist of 2 papers namely Paper One and Paper Two where each student is required to acquire a minimum of 18 marks to pass the exam
  • The Internal assessment which was conducted earlier is completely scrapped .i.e. the board shall not conduct any internal assessment test of 20 marks from the academic session 2019-2020.
  • The minimum pass marks are set to 36 which was earlier 35 i.e. the candidates need to score 18 marks minimum in each paper (paper One and Paper Two) to make the score 36. If any candidate fails to score 18 marks will be announced fail. 
  • The Question paper shall consist of four sections namely:
    • Objective Type
    • Very Short Answer Type
    • Short Answer Type
    • Essay Type
