Institute scholarships: IIT Guwahati offers three types of institute scholarships for its graduate/ postgraduate students. Tabulated below are details on types of institute scholarships and awards:

IIT Guwahati BTech 2025 FAQs
To apply for the BTech programme at IIT Guwahati, candidates need to complete the application form for the course-specific entrance exam. For BTech, applicants are required to first apply for JEE Main, followed by the JEE Advanced application process. To apply for JEE Main, candidates should follow these steps:
Step 1: Visit the official NTA website.
Step 2: Click on the "JEE Main 2024 Registration" link.
Step 3: Enter the required details and click on the "submit" button.
Step 4: Login and fill out the application form.
Step 5: Upload a scanned signature and a passport-size photograph.
Step 6: Pay the application fee and apply.
The JEE Advanced 2024 exam date is May 26. JEE Advanced 2024 will be conducted by IIT Madras. JEE Main 2024 qualified candidates who achieve rank among the top 2.5 Lacs candidates can apply for JEE Advanced exam. Also, candidates who appeared for JEE Main 2023 and have qualified for JEE Advanced, can apply for JEE Advanced 2024. Candidates can appear in JEE Advanced two consecutive times. JEE Advanced is held in CBT mode and there are 2 papers in all. Each paper has 3 sections: Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Candidates have to attempt both papers 1 and 2 to be eligible for admission to the IITs. The marking scheme and the distribution of the questions in the exam change every year.
The JoSAA 2024 registration process started on June 10, 2024. There will be five rounds of JoSAA counselling. JoSAA released Rounds 1 and 2 seat allocation results and cutoffs. Knowledge of JoSAA dates 2024 helps candidates keep a check on the major deadlines, like the last date of registration.
