Mistakes to Avoid in UCEED Exam form 2027

UCEED Registration form must be filled out with utmost care. If anything goes wrong, there will less chances of improvement, as there is no UCEED application Edit window. Read about some of the common mistakes that you must avoid while filling the IIT Bombay UCEED 2027 Registration Form.

Mistakes to avoid in UCEED exam form

UCEED Application 2027 will be available at uceed.iitb.ac.in. Candidates will be able to fill the application form online by following a simple process. Candidates need to first read the eligibility criteria, create an applicant account on UCEED Portal and then fill in the required details, upload the documents and pay the UCEED Application fee. Once the application process is complete, one must always download the form and take a screenshot for future reference.

Candidates must fill in all the required details, like Name, Parents' Name, Date of Birth, Year of Qualifying exam, Documents, etc in the UCEED Registration Form. A recent colour photograph should be uploaded, having a full frontal (face) view, with the head centred in the frame covering 70–80% of the photograph. The signature should be on white paper and in JPEG format. Files must have the .jpg file extension.

Mistakes to Avoid in UCEED 2027 Exam Form

1. Not checking age eligibility before starting the form: Candidates must carefully go through the age eligbility before filling the form. For UCEED Exam, candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 2002, if belonging to the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category and born on or after October 1, 1997, if belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category.

2. Applying without checking qualifying exam year eligibility: Some candidates apply for UCEED without checking their year of qualifying exam. Candidates should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2026 OR 2027 to be eligible for attempting UCEED 2027. Students from ALL STREAMS (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible. Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination (Class XII) in 2025 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in UCEED 2027.

3. Assuming UCEED form can be edited after submission: Candidates must keep in mind that there is no option to edit the UCEED registration form once submitted. Most forms, like NIFT and NID have an application edit window, but in UCEED there is no such option. So all the information must be filled correctly. 

4. Uploading photos, signatures, or certificates in the wrong format or specification: The photograph and signature must be uploaded as per the specifications given by IIT Bombay. Both must have the file name with .jpg file extension as given by IIT Bombay.

5. Uploading incorrect documents: All the documents like Qualifying examination certificate, certificate from the school/college Principal, Unique Disability Identification (UDID) certificate or copy of UDID card, PwD certificate, Scribe letter request (if applicable), etc. must be uploaded in the correct format. Candidates must read the brochure carefully for the format. 

6. Not paying attention while selecting centres: UCEED generally asks to select up to 3 UCEED exam centres, so one must carefully select the centre option before filling the UCEED Form. If the centre selected is wrong, then no changes can be made later.

7. Not rechecking spellings and other details on the form: Candidates must carefully fill all the details and avoid any type of spelling mistakes. If there are spelling mistakes in Name, Email ID, phone number, or date of birth, it can lead to problems. So, always go through them before finalising them.
8. Not taking screenshots or downloading the UCEED application after filling it: Always take screenshots of the UCEED Application form after you fill it. Also, download the form after completing it. Send the screenshots and PDF to your email ID and WhatsApp so that you can easily access the application number.
9. Not saving Login ID and Password: Always save the login ID and password of the form. You will need them at every stage of the UCEED Exam, to download the admit card, check the result, answer key, etc. Many students don't keep their login password safe and face trouble later. Also remember the phone number and email used to fill the UCEED Application form.
10. Ignoring dates and important updates: Candidates must regularly track UCEED websites and other educational websites to track any changes for the UCEED Exam. In case there are any changes, you must have knowledge of them.
11. Not having a stable internet connection: Always have a stable connection while filling out the form. In case the connection is weak, it can lead to unsaved changes and errors in the form.
