UCEED is a UG level design entrance exam that is conducted by IIT Bombay. Candidates who clear UCEED exam and meet the cut-off need to take part in the counselling and seat allocation round and thereafter have to apply at the respective colleges that accept UCEED ranks to secure admission.
This design entrance exam is of three hours duration and maximum marks candidates can secure in the test are 300.
UCEED Rank List/Merit List
Candidates are informed that UCEED rank lists are prepared on the basis of marks secured by candidates in the design entrance exam. If the exam is conducted in two separate sessions then UCEED rank list will be prepared on the basis of normalisation of total marks. Also, IIT Bombay will release only one UCEED rank list.
“The minimum prescribed marks varies with the category”, informs the official website. Further aspirants are informed that “the UCEED Committee reserves the right to decrease the minimum percentage of marks in each section as well as the minimum total marks such that 10×N ranks can be announced, where N is the total number of available seats”. The minimum prescribed marks that candidates need to secure in order to be included in UCEED 2018 rank list is as mentioned below:
| Category |
Minimum % of marks in each Section |
Minimum Aggregate marks of all three sections |
| General |
10 |
100 |
| OBC-NCL |
9 |

| SC/ST/PwD |

Further, aspirants are informed that securing a rank in UCEED exam does not guarantee admission in BDes course. Thus, aspirants who make it to UCEED 2018 merit list need to thereafter fill an application form at colleges that accept UCEED ranks/scores for admission.
