BITSAT 2026 Dress Code

Although there is no dress code for BITSAT 2026, candidates can check the general rules and guidelines before choosing the outfit for the exam day. Carrying electronics or other restricted items is strictly prohibited. Wearing simple clothing will ensure a smooth frisking process. The BITSAT dress code is given below.

  • Students should wear plain shirts, T-shirts, tops, or kurtas without large prints, heavy embroidery, or metallic decorations.
  • Jeans, trousers, leggings, or simple pants are generally suitable. Avoid clothing with too many pockets.
  • Sandals, slippers, or simple shoes are usually preferred as they make security checks easier.

Items Candidates Should Avoid Wearing

To avoid problems during entry, candidates should not wear or carry items that could raise security concerns. Some items that students should avoid include:

  • Heavy jewellery, such as large earrings, necklaces, bracelets, or rings.
  • Smart or digital watches and analogue watches. (There will be an on-screen timer)
  • Caps, hats, or scarves
  • Clothes with metal accessories like belts with large buckles, metal buttons, or metallic decorations are not allowed.

Footwear Guidelines for BITSAT

Although there is no officially fixed rule about footwear, candidates are usually advised to wear simple footwear. Footwear that is generally acceptable includes:

  • Flat sandals
  • Slippers
  • Basic shoes without metal parts
  • Shoes with heavy soles, boots, or footwear with metallic parts may lead to extra checking at the exam centre.

Important Exam Day Tips for Candidates

Apart from following the dress code, candidates should also keep a few other BITSAT exam day guidelines in mind.

  • Carry the admit card - Students must bring their BITSAT admit card to the exam centre.
  • Bring a valid photo ID - Candidates should carry a valid identity proof such as Aadhaar card, passport, driving licence, or school ID.
  • Reach the exam centre early - Arrive at the exam centre as per the reporting time
  • Avoid carrying unnecessary items - Only bring essential documents to the exam centre.

BITSAT 2026 admit card for session 1 has been issued on April 10 at 10:20 PM. The session 2 hall ticket date is May 20.

BITS, Pilani, conducts the BITSAT exam in two shifts. The timings for the morning session are from 9 AM to 12 PM, and others are from 2 PM to 5 PM in the afternoon session. Candidates can select the BITSAT slot timings using the BITSAT slot booking system.

The authorities allow students to choose their preferred exam date and timings for the exam via the BITSAT 2026 slot booking. In case candidates do not book their slots, the authorities will allot the slots at random.

The authority conducts the BITSAT exam in two sessions. The BITSAT 2026 session 1 exam was held from April 15 to 16. The session 2 exam will be held from May 24 to 26, 2026. Candidates can appear in any one or both sessions. In case students appear for both the best of the two will be considered.
