Shiksha brings here students' reaction & review for JEE Main January Paper 1. Check the difficulty level of BTech (paper 1) exam from the JEE aspirants.

JEE Main 2020 Student Reaction & Review - National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting JEE Main 2020 January session for BTech courses on January 7 in two shifts. The forenoon session for JEE Main paper 1 (BTech) was held from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm while the afternoon shift will be conducted from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
According to the students' feedback, who appeared in the first shift of the exam, the overall difficulty level was easy as compared to last year. Most of the questions asked in the exam were based on previous years' question papers and from Class XII syllabus. Also, aspirants who appeared for the test, found the Chemistry section to be the easiest among three papers. Below is the JEE Main 2020 Student Reaction & Review for Paper 1 (BTech) held on January 7, 2020.

One of the aspirant Shivam said that the difficulty level of the paper was easy to moderate. He also shared that the questions were from NCERT. According to him, questions from Chemistry was easy. Most of the questions in the Chemistry section came from Chemistry every day and Environmental Chemistry which could be easily answered. Chemistry section was easy while the Physics section was tricky but not tough. The Mathematics section was the most difficult. As per his analysis, the complete paper is easily doable and students can score good marks from the BTech paper.

Another JEE aspirant, Jay Dixit shared the same experience. According to him, the paper was moderately easy. “Chemistry was easy”, he added.  Physics was medium. Mathematics was difficult but if students have studied well they can score better marks in this paper.

Another JEE aspirant Bharat said that this was his first attempt for JEE Main 2020. The overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate. The paper could be easily completed within three hours duration. Numeral based questions introduced in the JEE Main 2020 exam pattern were easy.

Lakshyajit Thapa shared that the overall difficulty level was easy. According to him, the Mathematics section had questions from Coordinate Geometry; Physics section had numerical based questions. Chemistry section was easy carried IUPAC names, which were quite simple and easy. Mathematics questions were from Intermediate syllabus. The question paper did not have many questions from Class XI but most of the questions were from Class XII.

Hansika from DPS Noida, who was taking the paper for the first time said that the paper was moderate. Mathematics and Physics section was tough than expected. Chemistry section was a bit easy.

Rishav who appeared for the second time, shared that if compared to previous year the exam was easy. He found the Mathematics and Physics section easy and Chemistry section was of moderate in terms of difficulty level. He is also appearing for UPSEE 2020.

According to Navya, Chemistry and Mathematics was easy and Physics was moderate. He is appearing for BITSAT and NDA exams.

Shivangi from KV Noida, another JEE aspirant shared that he found the paper moderate. She found questions from Mathematics section difficult.

JEE Main 2020 Paper 1 consists of three sections - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The exam is of 3 hours duration with each section being 60 minutes. For each correct answer, candidates will be awarded 4 marks and for each incorrect answer, ¼ mark will be deducted. JEE Main Paper 1 is of 300 marks carrying 75 questions.

NTA is conducting JEE Main 2020 exam from January 6 to 9. Paper 2 is for admission to BArch and Paper 3 is for BPlan courses which were held on January 6. Paper 1 is for BTech courses is being held from January 7 to 9.
