As per the JEE Main 2026 toppers list with marks released by NTA, Purohit Nimay from Gujarat has scored a 100 percentile in JEE Main 2026 Session 1.

Q. How do you feel about your achievement?
A. I am extremely happy and proud that I scored 100 percentile in JEE Main.
Q. Where did you take JEE Main 2026 coaching?
A. I did my JEE Main 2026 preparation at Allen Career Institute, Rajkot, for the last four years. The guidance by the faculty, along with the study materials and test papers given by Allen, helped me in strengthening my preparation.
Q. Can you tell us about your family?
A. I come from Rajkot, Gujarat. My father is Dr Harshal Purohit, and my mother is Dr Darshana Purohit. Both my parents are doctors. They have been my biggest supporters during JEE Main preparation.
Q. How did you prepare for JEE Main exam?
A. While preparing for JEE Main 2026, I had always focused on the process, never on the result. This approach helped me to stay stress-free during the exam. The key to my success was consistent study and a strong understanding of the concept. I always tried to understand the concept well, instead of memorising it. I have spent 6 to 7 hours in self-study every day. I revised whatever was taught in class on the same day. I used to regularly solve problems and take mock test. After every test, I carefully analysed my mistakes and worked on improving them.
Q. Can you share with us your JEE Main preparation strategy?
A. I began the preparation with Mathematics, since it is my strongest subject. After that, I moved to Chemistry and then Physics. Once I complete a test, I make sure to recheck the paper to avoid errors.
Q. What is your advice for JEE Main aspirants?
A. To the students preparing for JEE Main in the future, I would advise them to attend class regularly and carefully follow the guidance given by the teachers. They have to be consistent and disciplined. If the students follow this approach, they will definitely achieve their goal.

JEE Main 2026 exam pattern has been released by the NTA. As per exam pattern, the JEE Main Paper 1 (BE/B.Tech) exam will consist of 75 questions, 25 each from Physics Chemistry and Mathematics. Out of 25 questions, 20 will be MCQs and 5 will be NAV. Students need to answer all 75 questions. JEE Main paper 2A for B.Arch consists of 77 questions of which 25 are from Mathematics, 50 from General Aptitude and 2 from Drawing. In Paper 2B for BPlan total questions are 100 of which 25 are from Mathematics, 50 from General Aptitude and 25 from Planning.
The question paper will have no internal choices within questions and total duration of exam is 3 hours.
There are two question types in JEE Main exam. Multiple choice questions and numerical ability questions. In MCQ, every question has 4 options with only 1 correct answer. Select the correct option. In numerical ability question type, no options are there. Solve them and write answer using keyword and mouse.
Paper 1 has 75 questions where Physics Chemistry and Mathematics, each section has 25 questions. Out of 25 questions, 20 are MCQs and five are numerical value questions. You must answer all 5 numerical value-type questions. All 20 multiple-choice questions are compulsory. Complete all 75 questions in 3 hours.
JEE Main counselling do have the provision of mock seat allotment. JoSAA will conduct a total of two rounds mock seat allotment where candidates can check which college they get based on the choice filled by them. Candidates after registering for the counselling have to enter their preferred choice of college and branch in the order of preference. The allotment of seats will be made on the basis of All India Rank and choices filled by the candidate.
