KEAM Option Registration 2026: CEE has begun the option registration for phase 3 counselling of KEAM at cee.kerala.gov.in. The allocation of seats in colleges participating in KEAM counselling will depend on the preferences submitted by candidates along with their KEAM 2026 ranks. The deadline for completing the option registration for phase 3 is July 30.

To register options in KEAM 2026 counselling, candidates have to log in to their ‘Candidate Portal’ through the website cee.kerala.gov.in using the application number and password. What is KEAM Option Registration?

The option registration in the KEAM (Kerala Engineering, Architecture, Medical) counselling means that candidates select their preferred course and college for admission. The candidates have to register the options in order of priority and submit them as per the schedule. Only the candidates who appear in the KEAM rank list can register their option for KEAM counselling.

How to Register Options in KEAM 2026 Counselling?

Check below the steps for KEAM option registration process:

  • Vist the official website of KEAM and access the ‘Candidate Portal’  using the Application Number and Password.
  • Proceed to the option registration page by clicking on the ‘Option Registration’ Link.
  • Pay the option registration fee and register the options.
  • Save the options registered.
  • View and print the list of options registered.
  • Log off from the ‘Candidate Portal’.

Q:   What are the reasons that can lead to cancellation of KEAM application form?
A: 
The followings are some of the reasons that may lead to the rejection of your KEAM Application. If the uploaded Photograph does not adhere to the specification given in the menu How to Upload? If Applicants uploaded Signature is NOT clear or/and not genuine. If authentic proof for Nativity and Date of Birth and Class X Certificate are NOT uploaded in the application portal. If the required Application Fee meant for each category (General or SC) is NOT paid through the proper channel.
Q:   What is KEAM application fee?
A: 

The application fee for KEAM is as follows: Engineering only/ B.Pharma only/both: General: INR 875 and SC: INR 375. Architecture only/Medical & Allied only/both: General: INR 625 and SC: INR 250. Both the streams: General: INR 1125 and SC: INR 500.

Q:   KEAM admit card must be black and white or colour copy?
A: 

KEAM admit card can be carried in either way, Candidates can carry a coloured copy or a black and white copy. Just ensure that the details on the admit card are correct and as per the information provided on the KEAM application form. KEAM admit card includes details like the candidate's name, father's name, exam date, exam time, test centre address etc. Before downloading the KEAM hall ticket , candidates are advised to crosscheck all the details mentioned on it. In case of any discrepancy in the KEAM hall ticket, candidates should immediately inform the authorities at CEE, Kerala admission authority. Helpline Numbers: 0471-2332123, 2339101, 2339102, 2339103, 2339104. The admit card of KEAM is one of the most important documents without which candidates will not be able to appear in KEAM . Besides being used on exam day, KEAM admit card will be required during the exam counselling process as well. Therefore the candidates must keep the KEAM admit card safe with them until the admission process is over.

Q:   Do I need to cover the entire syllabus of KEAM?
A: 

Yes, candidates must complete the entire syllabus of KEAM to get a good score in the exam. To get an admission opportunity via KEAM in top colleges, candidates have to prepare for the exam by covering the centre syllabus.

KEAM 2026 Option Registration Fee

The candidates participating in KEAM counselling have to pay the option registration fee. The KEAM 2026 option registration fee is given below:

  • For candidates belonging to SC/ST/OEC category and those having benefits as per G.O.(Ms) No.25/2005/SCSTDD Dated 20.06.2005 and G.O. (Ms)No.10/2014/BCDD Dated 23.05.2014, and those candidates from Juvenile Home, Nirbhaya Home, Sree Chitra Home: INR 500, (The option registration fee of such candidates who take admission in the allotted college/course will be adjusted in the caution deposit.)
  • For all other candidates: INR 2,000. (The registration fee will be adjusted in the tuition fee of those candidates who take admission consequent on allotments.)

Refund of the KEAM 2026 Option Registration Fee

  • The registration fee of those candidates who do not get allotment will be refunded.
  • The Registration Fee of those candidates who do not take admission will be treated as a penalty and will not be refunded.

What after KEAM 2026 Option Registrations?

The authority releases the KEAM seat allotment after the completion of option registration. Students can check the seat allotment list on the official website. To confirm the seat allotment, students need to log in through the candidate portal. After accepting the seat, download the KEAM allotment memo. In the KEAM allotment memo, you can check college, course, and fee details.

Q:   What is to be done in KEAM option registration process?
A: 

A list of Course-College combinations available for allotments through the KEAM CAP will be displayed on the Option Registration page of the candidate based on the stream (s) the candidate is eligible for. For example, a candidate included only in the Engineering stream will see the Engineering courses together with the corresponding two-letter codes (Eg:- AE - Applied Electronics and Instrumentation, EC - Electronics and Communication Engineering etc.). Similarly, a candidate in the Medical Stream will see the Medical courses together with the corresponding two-letter codes (Eg:- MM-MBBS, MD-BDS, BA-BAMS etc.). A candidate eligible for both Engineering and Medical streams will see both Engineering and Medical courses. All the Colleges under the stream (s) applicable to the candidate will be shown with their respective three-letter codes (Eg:- TVE-College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram, TVM-Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram etc.). 

Q:   How to complete the KEAM option registration and how can the registered options be saved/revised?
A: 

All eligible options of the candidate will be displayed on the KEAM Option Registration Page. The candidate may follow the directions given therein to register the options. The data entered may be saved regularly by clicking the ‘Save’ button, so that the data already entered is not lost due to unexpected reasons.

The candidate should enter only those options in which they are interested. Candidates should also note that they will be considered for allotment only to those courses and colleges opted by them. So, a candidate who has not opted for a course-college combination will not be considered for allotment for that combination. Existing options, registered by the candidate which is available in the Option Registration Page, can be cancelled by clicking on the corresponding 'Delete' button. Changes (including deletions) made in the option list must be saved (by clicking on the SAVE button) before leaving the option registration page.

All the valid options registered by the candidate will be processed. If a candidate gets allotted a particular seat, based on his/her option, he/she is bound to accept it, failing which, they will lose that allotment as well as all the existing options in the stream to which the allotment belongs. The options once lost will not be available in the subsequent phases. 

Q:   Which is the most difficult subject in KEAM?
A: 

As per the exam analysis of KEAM exam held over the years the overall difficulty level of the KEAM is moderate. Physics section is usually found to be moderate and the Chemistry part is easy. The Maths section is reported to be moderate and lengthy over the years.

Q:   How can I prepare for KEAM exam?
A: 

KEAM - Kerala Engineering Agriculture Medical. First, know syllabus completely and then start preparation. It will help you to have a clear mind while preparing. Manage your time efficiently in such a way that you spend equal time for all subjects.

Choose best study materials for your preparations. You may use NCERT books for PCM concepts while Arihant books for practice, H. C. Verma for Physics, O. P. Tandon for Chemistry, And TMH books for Mathematics.

You can also solve sample papers for better preparations. You need to solve last year’s question papers or mock test. It helps you to know about exam pattern or type of questions will come in examination. You can also test your speed & knowledge by solving sample papers.

As per the past three years' cutoff trend, TKM College of Engineering KEAM cutoff is generally released for 2 rounds of admission. In the first round, the maximum admissible rank was 7792 (BTech in Civil Engineering), and in the last round, it was 8758 for the BTech in Civil Engineering course.

You can get a seat in Round 1 or Round 2 because a 66 percentile is higher than the minimum general cutoff range of 40 to 79.
