West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is scheduled to be held on February 2. The exam will be held in two shifts – the morning session will be conducted from 11 am to 1 pm while the evening shift will be held from 2 to 4 pm. WBJEE is an important state level entrance exam for all the engineering aspirants, candidates appearing for the same must know the WBJEE exam rules, things they must try avoid and also a few things they must in mind before appearing in the exam.

Things to carry on WBJEE 2020 exam day

Aspirants have to carry the following documents to the WBJEE exam centre:

  • Copy of the admit card of WBJEE 2020
  • Photocopy of the passport size photograph (same as uploaded during WBJEE application form)
  • Photo identity card in original such as Aadhaar Card/Pan Card/Passport/Voter Card/Class 10th standard admit card/school ID card.

WBJEE 2020: Exam Day Guidelines

  • Candidates are advised to enter the WBJEE examination centre 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the entrance test.
  • Aspirants must make sure to visit the exact location of the examination centre a day before the entrance test to avoid any last-minute confusion on the exam day.
  • Candidates will not be allowed to seat for the examination test in any other centre other than the one allotted to them and are mentioned in the WBJEE admit card.
  • Frisking of candidates will be carried out while entering the examination centre for checking any unwanted items in the examination.
  • Candidates must take their seats at least 15 minutes before the entrance test.
  • Maintaining the silence during the entrance test should be strictly followed
  • Candidates are not required to bring any paper for rough work. Spaces will be provided for rough work on the question booklet.

Items prohibited inside WBJEE 2020 exam centre

Stationary Items: Pen, paper, pencil, textual material (printed or written material), pencil box, geometry box, etc.

Eatables: Do not carry eatables (loose or packed) and water inside the exam hall.

WBJEE 2020 Last Minute Preparation Tips

Do not take any New Topic – Students are advised not to attempt any new question during the last few days of the entrance test.

Eat healthily and Sleep Early– Candidates must eat healthily and maintain a good diet. They should sleep for 6 to 7 hours in the night.

Overall, WBJEE is considered moderately tough. Level of syllabus is similar to 12th standard qualifying exam. Therefore, students who are well prepared for their board exams are likely to score well in WBJEE.

WBJEE 2026 registration last date is yet to be announced. Candidates will have to fill and submit online WBJEE application form before final date to be registered for exam.

No, there is no provision for conducting WBJEE twice a year. WBJEEB has always conducted WBJEE as an annual one day examination. If there is any change in exam pattern, it will be announced online.

There is no minimum passing mark for WBJEE. However, for admission, candidates should have score minimum 45% marks in 12th qualifying examination (40% for reserved categories).
