What are the scholarship policies offered via GITAM GAT?

The GITAM GAT scholarship policies are as follows: For the scholarships offered through various National and State Entrance Tests, the students are required to apply for GITAM Admission Test (GAT) and must attend the counseling for admission as per the schedule. If a student is eligible for a scholarship under more than one category through GAT, National, and State Entrance Tests, then he/she will be awarded the highest percent of the scholarship. The scholarship offered through GAT, National and State Entrance Tests is applicable for the First Year only. The same scholarship will be continued in the subsequent years of study subject to scoring a CGPA of 8.0 and above. The children of GITAM employees admitted in full-time programmes are further eligible to avail only 25% of Merit Scholarship through GAT, National and State Entrance Tests. The students admitted through GAT Scholarship Scheme are further eligible for Alumni returning to Higher Education, Alumni Children, Sibling Scholarship, and Retired Employee Children scholarship.

What are the colleges that accept PCM and GAT marks only as a CUET score?

CUET colleges list has been released. At total of 205 Universities in India will offer admission through CUET UG . Accepting universities include 47 central universities, 26 state universities, 7 government institutions, 22 deemed universities and 102 private universities. These universities include Delhi University (DU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Central Punjab University (CPU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Jamia Milia Islamia, and Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) amongst others. The universities will release the CUET cutoff or CUET merit list separately.

How many specialisation of BTech are available at GITAM?

There are a total of 8 different specialisations of BTech at GITAM. Each BTech course at GITAM is open to lateral entry and have the same total duration and tuition fees as each other. Admissions to all the BTech courses available at GITAM are decided by the performance of a candidate in the JEE Mains entrance exam. After GITAM result is out, GITAM University conducts GITAM GAT counselling. The counselling is held online at the 7 campuses of the Institute. The counselling call letter is released online . Shortlisted candidates have to appear in the counselling rounds along with the documents for verification.

Direct Admission to Board Toppers

GITAM offers direct admission to Board toppers/first rank holders of central and all state board examinations (equivalent to 10+2). These students will not be required to appear for GAT-UGTP if they meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. However, such aspirants are required to submit an application seeking admission to the engineering and pharmacy programs at the university. Please note that 25% of the seats are reserved for meritorious students belonging to Karnataka for admission to the Bengaluru Campus.

Note that candidates who have scores of JEE Main, TS EAMCET, or AP EAMCET are exempted from GAT. If a candidate hasn't appeared for any of the mentioned exams, they would need to apply and appear for the GITAM Admissions Test (GAT) to qualify for engineering at GITAM.

Each student can appear for the GAT exam once for one course in one phase. Authorities does not provide re-appearing students with credentials by considering it an unfair practice of duplicate application. Candidates can apply for courses while filling the single application form.
