Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Exam is a lateral entry entrance test conducted by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB). It is a gateway that offers admissions to the interested candidates in the second year of the 4-year regular BE/BTech programmes under the lateral entry scheme. • Candidates must have passed 10+2 with physics, chemistry, and mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognized board or equivalent. 
• Candidates must have a 3-year Engineering Diploma with a minimum of 45% (40% in case of reserved category) marks in the qualifying examination. 
• Candidates must have passed the diploma course in any of the following streams such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Drilling Technology, Chemical Engineering. 

Other Eligibility Norms 

The candidates must be a permanent resident of the state as per the act of the State of Jharkhand. 

• Proper residential certificates assigned by the Jharkhand government should be produced at the time of admission. 
• The candidates appearing for the final Diploma exams, or the final year students can also apply for Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Exam.

Step-1: Fill Application Form 

At this stage, the candidates have to fill the JCECE Combined Entrance Competitive exam application forms for admission to the 2nd year of the 4-year BE/BTech programmes offered under the lateral entry scheme. The application form of Jharkhand Lateral entry is available online only at the official website. The candidates are requested to download the application forms and submit them online to appear for the Jharkhand JCECE 2025. Applicants must note that the Adhar Card has been made mandatory by JCECEB filling the JCECE application form. 

Step-2: Upload the Photograph and Signature 

After filling and saving the form, the candidates will now have to upload their recent passport size photograph and specimen signature in the prescribed format. With this, the application submission process is almost completed. The final step will be to make the payment of the application fee. 

Step 3: Appear for Jharkhand Lateral Entry Entrance Test 

The candidates shall appear for Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Exam as per the schedule. Aspirants are advised to reach the exam centre at least an hour before the commencement of the exam. For all the Jharkhand JCECE lateral entry UG courses, the university conducts the written examination.

Only successfully registered candidates will be issued Jharkhand JCECE 2025 admit card. Applicants appearing in the exam have to carry their Jharkhand JCECE admit card along with one valid photo ID proof to the exam centre on exam day. The authorities will not issue Jharkhand JCECE admit card in offline mode.  

Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board will release the Jharkhand JCECE result 2025 online at the official website. The authorities will release the Jharkhand JCECE Lateral entry result 2025 in the form of merit list. Candidates need to enter their roll number to check Jharkhand JCECE result 2025. Shortlisted candidates based on results will be called for the counselling process later.
