DTU is rolling out new specialisations under the BTech programme. These new specialisations are available in Semiconductors, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Analytics.
A few more updates are given below:
- The JAC Delhi 2026 counselling registration window for admission to the BTech course will tentatively open in May 2026.
- The CUET PG 2026 exams were successfully conducted for admission to several PG courses. The results for the same will be announced soon.
- The UCEED 2026 Round 1 seat allotment has been released for admission to the BDes course. Selected candidates in this round must pay the seat acceptance fee by Apr 29, 2026 (6 PM), and the seat withdrawal window will be open from Apr 30 to May 11, 2026. Moreover, the UCEED 2025 Round 2 seat allotment result will be out on May 19, 2026.
- The CUET UG 2026 registration portal is now closed for admission to several UG courses. The CUET exam 2026 will be conducted from May 11 to May 31, 2026.
- The GATE COAP 2026 registration link is active for admission to ME/MTech/PhD programmes. The GATE COAP 2026 round 1 window to view offers and make a decision will be opened on May 11, 2026 (10 AM).

In the field of Management, DTU offers three year BBA via the University School of Management and Entrepreneurship (USME). Divided into six semesters of six months each, admission to BBA programme offered by DTU is based on merit scores obtained by the students in the best of four subjects in Class 12. Students, however, must have completed their Class 12 with 50% aggregate (with English as a subject) to be eligible for the course.
Delhi Technological University offers a four-year BTech programme across 14 specialisations along with two BTech Evening programmes to the students. The duration of the BTech evening programme is also four years. The specialisations available under the regular BTech course includes CSE, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Engineering Physics, Mathematics and Computing specialisations, among others. Yes, Delhi Technological University offers a four-year BDes programme to students in the field of Design. DTU started offering the course in Fashion Design specialisation (Check Top Fashion Design Colleges in India here) and it mentioned about starting Film Design specialisation. Interested candidates can apply online on the official admission portal of DTU. Admisison to BDes is subject to a valid score in the UCEED exam. Interested candidates, however, are required to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria set by the university for admission which is to be a pass out of Class 12 with Science/ Commerce/ Arts or a three-year Diploma recognised by AICTE.

The selection criteria for BTech at DTU is entrance based and states that having a JEE Mains rank is the minimum requirement for final seat allotment. In addition, students must go through the JAC counselling process to get a seat at DTU. After the result of JEE Main, JAC counselling for seat allotment is conducted in four rounds. Additional spot rounds are conducted for vacant seats (if available).

DTU offers a two-year full-time MBA programme via its own campus, Delhi School of Management (DSM) and University School of Management and Entrepreneurship (USME). Although each hostel has separate mess but after COVID period, only 3–4 hostel's mess are running.We are supposed to take monthly subscription of the mess. The mess charges are 2700 p.m. which is very decent. I don't think in this price we can get 4 meals in any other mess.
The quality of the food is pretty average, on some days it's decent (khaane layak rahta) but there are few days on which it's worse especially the lunch part, generally it is the worst meal of the day. The food is too spicy and the taste is also very bad.

DTU and IIT delhi are both topmost universities available in India. The placements given to these university students are also good. The infra is quite good for both the universities, hence the comparison between them is not possible. In the end, it depends on students what is best for them.

DTU admissions are majorly based on the JEE Main scores. However, without JEE Mains, students will have to change the specialisations and the course opted for then only admission will be possible.
