The CLAT exam is scheduled to be held on 07-Dec-2025. The candidates looking to appear for the exam had to fill out the CLAT 2026 application form before the last date, which is 07-Nov-2025. The candidates will be able to get admission to India's premier National Law Universities (NLUs) through the Common Law Admission Test. Conducted by the Consortium of NLUs, CLAT also provides admission to the most prestigious institutions such as NLSIU Bengaluru, NALSAR Hyderabad, and NUJS Kolkata. Once the candidates are registered for the CLAT test, they were allowed to edit their forms on the online candidate's portal until 09-Nov-2025. The succesfully registered candidates will be issued the CLAT 2026 admit card. It will be an important document for entry to the exam hall. The aspirants will have to carry a valid ID proof for verification.

Q:   What is the last date to fill CLAT Application Form 2027?

The Consortium has not announced the last date to submit the CLAT Application Form yet. However, once the application process starts it mostly remain opens for three months. This gives candidates sufficient time to complete it and submit. 

Q:   If I forget my CLAT Login ID or password. How should I fill the application form?
A: 

You don't have to worry. In case you have forgotten your ID and password, which is pretty much normal. You can go and click on the forgot password tab in the registration window. You will receive the mail and then you have to reset your password. Once day you will be able to login. 

Q:   Can I fill CLAT Application Form through mobile phone?
A: 

See, it doesn't matter that you fill the form through laptop or phone. What matters is you fill the form. Yes, you should have good network connection and internet speed. It should not happen that you have filled the form and when you reach the last step you loose the connection. So what is important is network connection not the phone or laptop to fill the application form.

  • Fill in your details in the application form
  • Upload all important documents

You will need to submit the following documents to complete the application process, 

  • Class 10 Mark Sheet/Certificate
  • Class 12 Mark Sheet/Certificate
  • Recent Passport-Size Photograph
  • Scanned Signature
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • PwD Certificate (if applicable)
  • Domicile/Residence Certificate (if applicable)
  • BPL Certificate (if applicable): Proof for candidates claiming Below Poverty Line reservation, if the NLU offers it.

Q:   I forgot to submit CLAT Application Fees. What should I do?
A: 

Even with all the right documents, if you have not paid the application fee, your application form will be rejected. Since the application process cannot complete without submiting the fees. Once the window closes you won't be able to pay the fees or re fill the form. 

Q:   Can I fill CLAT Application Form offline?
A: 

No, there is no such provision given by the Consortium to fill out the application form offline. Candidates must complete filling the CLAT Application Form 2027 on or before the last date. You can only fill out the application form online. The form will be considered submitted only if you pay the fees.

Q:   When CLAT Merit List will be released?
A: 

The Consortium has released the CLAT Counselling Schedule. The CLAT First Merit List was released on January 7, 2026. The Consortium will release five round merit list. The second merit list was published on January22, 2026.

Guidelines Regarding Postcard Size Photo for CLAT 2026

The consortium releases guidelines regarding passport-size photos for CLAT. Let us take a look at the details here:

  • A recent passport-size colour photograph with name and date
  • The background of the photo must be either white colour or light colour
  • The face of the individual must be clear and visible in the photo
  • The image should be professional-looking
  • There should not be red-eye in the photo
  • If you wear glasses, ensure that there are no reflections on the eye and your eyes can be seen clearly
  • The image should be uploaded in JPEG/JPG format

Guidelines for Uploading CLAT Signature in CLAT Application Form 2026

Before filling up the CLAT exam 2026, candidates are advised to ensure the eligibility criteria for CLAT 2026. Candidates can follow the simple guidelines given below:

  • Candidate must sign on the white paper with a Black Ink pen
  • A signature should be done by the candidate and not by any other person
  • The signature should be in small letters and a flow of running hand

No. Since IIULER has officially joined the Consortium of NLUs, it no longer conducts a separate entrance test for admission to IIULER BA LLB (Hons.) course. Admission is strictly based on the CLAT (UG) merit list. If you miss the CLAT window, you generally cannot apply for that academic year.
