MAH CET 2021: Last day preparation

MAH CET 2021 exam is scheduled from September 16 to 18. It is now time to give your exam preparation a final check. The important point to take note of now is your last day MAH CET preparation, i.e. what should you do a day before the exam. MAH CET 2021 MBA/MMS has been delayed by over six months so the candidates got ample time to prepare for it. Do not start a new topic

With just one day to go, there is no point starting a new topic. It will be a mere wastage of time as it is impossible to complete a fresh topic of Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude or Verbal Ability in a day. Candidates must instead, utilise the day before MAH CET MBA/MMS exam in devising a strategy to score well in topics they have learnt.

Do not attempt a mock test

Candidates must not attempt a mock test just a day before exam. One is often tempted to take up a mock tests as it seems an easy way to check preparation level, however, it can sometimes backfire if the score of that particular mock test isn’t satisfactory. Go through important formulas and shortcuts

The maximum study one must do a day before MAH CET exam is revision. Candidates must go through the important formulae, theorems and concepts. They must also go through the notes they may have prepared during the MAH CET preparation phase. This way you will have fresh memory of the key topics and will not require time to recall them during the exam.  

Devise an exam day strategy

Candidates must look at the MAH CET exam pattern, previous years’ cut offs of your target MBA college and devise a strategy accordingly. Decide beforehand, how much sectional score you need to achieve in every section of the exam so that your overall score is good enough for your target college. The MAH CET exam is of moderate difficulty level, so make an assessment of accuracy and the number of questions you should solve for optimum performance.

Re-evaluate your strengths and weaknesses

A good sportsperson plays on his/her strengths. MAH CET test takers too should play on their strengths. Re-evaluate which topics are your strong areas and which ones are weak. This will help you in choosing the questions to solve in the exam. Remember, MAH CET is a speed based exam and one has to solve 200 questions on 150 minutes. Naturally, one cannot attempt all the questions. So, it is crucial to choose the right questions. One cannot afford to choose questions which they can’t solve correctly or which may lead to wastage of time.

Engage in stress free activities

It is important to have a relaxed mind before the exam so candidates must not indulge in over preparation. They should relax on the day before MAH CET 2021. They can play a favorite sport or practice a hobby. As for studies, they must only do revision.  

Arrange important documents

MAH CET 2021 test takers must arrange all the documents necessary of for identification process at the exam centre beforehand. Take two print outs of your MAH CET 2021 admit card, keep the original copy of a photo ID and two passport size photos. Also, arrange facemasks and hand sanitizers to carry to the MAH CET 2021 test centre on the exam day as a part of COVID-19 protocal.

The MAH CET cut off for Prin. L. N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research, Mumbai is usually around 99.93 percentile. There is not much change in the cut off since the last few years.

The MAH MBA CET cut offs for SIMSREE Mumbai is usually between 99.97 to 99.98 percentile.

For JBIMS, Mumbai, the MAH CET cut off is usually 99.99 percentiel. The cut offs have remained static in the past 3-4 years.

Verbal Ability section of MAH MBA CET is not very difficult. There are 50 questions. There are 4-5 RC passages with nearly 20 question and rest of the 30 are grammar and vocabulary based. Logical Reasoning section has 75 questions which are usually moderate but there can be a few questions that can challenge your skills. They can be confusing or time taking. Abstract Reasoning questions are easy, so candidates must target all 25 of them.

MAH CET MBA is a moderately difficult exam, but because it is Reasoning heavy, you will need about 6 months to prepare for it. A lot of practice will be required to master each topic, which is why you should start preparation about 6 months in advance.
