MAH MBA CET 2024 exam analysis –The first session of day 3 of MBA CET 2024 was overall easy like Day 1. The question paper had more Logical Reasoning questions than any other subject. The difficulty level of Day 1 of the MAH CET exam was easy but for Day 2 was tough.

Q:   Is there negative marking in MAH CET MBA exam?
A: 

MAH CET is one of the few MBA entrance exams in India which does not have negative marking. For each correct attempt, one mark is awarded to the candidate but no marks are deducted for wrong answers or unattempted questions. The total marks of MBA CET are 200 and candidates need not worry about making incorrect attempt. They must however avoid random selection of options as correct answers. They should take time in understanding the question and then choose the option. It is not mandatory to solve all the questions in MAH CET so candidates can spend some time on the questions and then answers. The exam will be of 2.5 hours and if they answers 75-80 questions correctly, they stand to gain a good percentile.

Q:   What is the marking scheme of MAH CET MBA?
A: 

The marking scheme of MAH MBA CET is very straightforward. The total marks is 200 hundred for 200 questions. Which means, every question carries one mark. There is no negative marking. In case of incorrect attempt, candidates will be marked zero. If they skip a question, even then they will be marked zero. Total marks of a candidate will be calculated out 200 on the basis of their total number of correct attempt.

Section wise the marks allotment is as follows:

  • Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension: 50 marks
  • Logical Reasoning: 75 marks
  • Abstract Reasoning: 25 marks
  • Quantitative Aptitude: 50 marks

The MAH CET percentile is calculated out of normalized scores of every test take across all the sessions of the exam. The percentile is calculated on the basis of top scoring candidate’s marks against all other candidates.

  • VARC was dominated by vocabulary
  • Synonym antonyms, fill in the blanks, idioms,
  • There were 8-9 questions on one-word substitution.
  • Grammar questions were based on error spotting, underline phrase replacement, fill in the blanks
  • 3 RCs –short and very easy to read, 3-4 questions per RC
  • There were some ambiguous options in RC but with a bit of deliberation one could get it.

MAH MBA CET 2024 Analysis: Logical Reasoning and Abstract Reasoning

  • There were same set of LR topics normally seen in CET
  • The questions were fairly easy to solve
  • There were several questions on Syllogisms.
  • There were triplet based syllogism, in which six questions were given and three of them form a pair
  • There were a good number of coding-decoding questions, Alphabet number series, blood relation, direction, calendars
  • There were questions on missing letters also
  • There were a few Analogy questions
  • Statement/argument, critical reasoning questions were not there in this session
  • In Abstract Reasoning, there were questions on analogy, odd figure, etc. 
  • Abstract Reasoning section was overall easy.

  • There were only 2 data interpretation sets (3-4 questions). They were slightly calculation heavy.
  • TSD questions – relative speed, upstream-downstream questions
  • There were questions on probability, permutation-combination, number-system
  • This section was not too difficult compared to previous sessions.
  • 35-40 minutes were enough to complete it.

Yes, MAH-CET results for academic year 2026 have been released on May. Candidates who appeared for this entrance exam can get their scorecards from MAH-CET's portal. However, CAP round registrations at COEP, Pune are yet to be opened.

Candidates wishing to take admission in UG courses such as: BCA/BBA/BMS/BBM are required to appear in a common entrance test CET (MAH-B. BCA/BBA/BMS/BBM-CET). Admission to UG courses such as: BA, BCom and BSc are done on the basis of merit in Class 12.

No, you cannot show MAH CET city intimation slip at the test centre for entry. Candidates will be allowed to appear for the test only if they present the hard copy of the admit card and photo ID.

In the MAH CET city intimation slip only the name of test city is mentioned along with candidate's name, DOB, application number and exam. No other detail is mentioned on it.

The purpose of MAH CET city intimation slip is to inform the candidates the city in which they have been allotted test centre. City intimation slip is released in advance to allow candidates to make arrangement for travel and stay on the exam day.

MAH BBA CET score is the total marks awarded to the candidate out of 100. It is calculated based on every correct attempt. MAH BBA CET percentile is calculated from rank as compared to rest candidates.
