Q&A Icon
Commonly asked questions
Q:   Is it possible to prepare for MAH CET in less than 3 months?
A:

It is possible to prepare for MAH CET in less than 3 months, but it will require a lot of hard work and dedication. If you haven't appeared for MAH CET before or any other entrance exam before, less than 3 months might be less for you, even if you're from Maths background, as quality time is required to cover the syllabus of Logical Reasoning and English. MAH CET is a Reasoning heavy exam. If you wish to prepare for MAH CET in less time, then study for 8-9 hours daily. But at the same time, take breaks in between to avoid burn out.

Q:   In which section of MAH MBA CET can I score maximum?
A:

MAH CET is a reasoning heavy test. Out of 200 questions, 100 are from this topic. While 75 questions are based on Logical Reasoning, 25 are based on Analytical Reasoning. So, if you prepare this section well;  you can score maximum in it, out of all four sections.

Q:   Has MAH CET exam pattern changed?
A:

Yes, MAH CET exam pattern has changed for 2026 session. This year, candidates will get two attempts and they can use best of the two scores for admission. Sectional compositions and exam duration remains the same as previously.

Q:   What are the topics from which Quantitative Aptitude questions are asked in MAH CET?
A:

The MAH MBA CET Quantitative Aptitude is a moderately difficult section. The topics from which the questions are asked include Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra, Mensuration, Partnership (Accounts), Profit and Loss, Mean, mode, median, Ratio and Proportion, In-Equations, Quadratic and Linear equations, Surds and Indices, Time-Speed-Distance, Number System, Geometric Progression, Binomial theorem, Inequalities, Work and Time, Percentage, Logarithms, Square Root and Cube Root, Probability and Simple Interest and Compound Interest.

This section also contains topics from data interpretation and data sufficiency. Normally, there are two sets of data interpretation questions based on a graph, table or pie chart. Most of the questions however are from Quantitative Aptitude, specifically Arithmetic. Aspirants must dedicate about 2-3 months to this section for complete preparation. They need to be thorough with all the concepts and have enough practice of various types of questions.

Commonly asked questions
Q:   What if I skip questions in Verbal Ability section of MAH MBA CET?
A:

There is no negative marking in MAH MBA CET. If you skip any question in any of the sections of the exam, no marks will be deducted. You will be marked zero. However, candidates must not skip too many questions in Verbal Ability or any section of MAH CET as low sectional score will affect the overall score and percentile.

Q:   How many MAH CET mock tests should I practice before the exam?
A:

The candidates must practice at least 15-20 MBA CET mock tests. Practicing that many will make them well prepared for all types of questions in the exam - tricky, lengthy, easy, tough, etc. They should practice the mock tests in the latest format of the exam (jumbled questions from across the sections). However, the point to keep in mind is that one should not start practicing mock test without completing the MAH MBA CET syllabus. They must first complete the syllabus so that while solving the mock test, they know which theorem to apply on what type of questions.

Candidate must also analyse their performance with each mock test to see their progress. The goal of MAH MBA CET practice should be to score better with each mock test. The goal should also be the gain speed in solving the questions with each mock test.

Q:   What's new in MAH MBA CET 2026?
A:

The latest change in MAH MBA CET is that candidates will get the opportunity to make two attempts in the exam - April and May. Those who make two attempts, can use best of both scores for CAP registration and seat allotment.

Q:   Is there negative marking in MAH MBA CET?
A:

There is no negative marking in MAH MBA CET. Every question carries 1 mark. No marks are deducted for making incorrect attempt or leaving questions. However, candidates must avoid guess work and try to solve questions first before marking an answer.

Logical Reasoning section has 75 questions which are usually moderate but there can be a few questions that can challenge your skills. They can be confusing or time taking. Abstract Reasoning questions are easy, so candidates must target all 25 of them.

MAH CET MBA is a moderately difficult exam, but because it is Reasoning heavy, you will need about 6 months to prepare for it. A lot of practice will be required to master each topic, which is why you should start preparation about 6 months in advance.
