What is CBSE 10th Exam?
The CBSE conducts the CBSE Exam Class 10 every year in pen and paper mode for students studying in Class 10. From the year 2026 onward, the board is conducting the CBSE 10th exams twice a year. Phase 1 of the CBSE Class 10 exams 2026 is mandatory for all students. CBSE 10th Phase 2 exam is optional. Students who wish to improve their performance in any of the subjects out of Science, Mathematics, Social Science, and languages can appear for second board exam. Students will be allowed to retain the score from their best of two attempts. The internal assessment for the CBSE Class 10 exam is conducted only once in the academic session. Students who clear their Class 9 exams from any recognised board of education and have studied for a year in Class 10 are eligible to sit for CBSE 10th board examinations.
