When will the UCEED 2026 exam be conducted?

IIT Bombay conducted the UCEED 2026 exam on January 18, 2026 from 9 AM- 12 PM. UCEED Test was conducted at the centres. The reporting time was 7 AM.

What are the important topics candidates need to prepare for Part A of UCEED 2026?

UCEED 2026 question paper will have two parts: 1. computer-based Part A and 2. Drawing and aptitude based Part B. Some of topics to prepare for UCEED are given below. Visualization and spatial reasoning: Ability to visualise and transform 2D shapes and 3D objects and their spatial relationships. Practical and scientific knowledge: Know-how of scientific principles and everyday objects. Attention to details, classification, analysis, inference and prediction. Environment and society: General awareness of environmental, social and cultural connections with design. Analytical and logical reasoning: Ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative information. Language: Proficiency in reading and comprehending Standard English . Creativity: Grasp of verbal and non-verbal analogies, metaphors, signs and symbols.

What will be the structure of the UCEED 2026 question paper ?

UCEED 2026 question paper will have two parts. Part A will be online and Part B will be offline. Part A will include Numerical Answer Type, Multiple Select Question and Multiple Choice Question. Part B will have sketching and drawing questions.

What key points do candidates need to remember about UCEED 2026 Part B of question paper?

Candidate needs to remember following points about Part B question paper of UCEED 2026. Part B will include TWO questions. Question for section will be shown on the computer monitor. Candidate, after reading the question, has to write/ draw the answer option in the answer booklet provided by the invigilator. Part B test will evaluate the drawing ability and Design Aptitude of the candidate. Part B is mandatory and will only be evaluated if the candidate qualifies for Part A. The cut-off marks for Part A will be declared by IIT Bombay before the declaration of results.

What types of questions will be asked in Section 2 of UCEED 2026 question paper?

The UCEED 2026 question paper for Part A will include three sections. It will include 28 Multiple Select Questions (MSQs). Each MSQ may have one or more than one correct choice (s) out of the four given. The following marking scheme will be followed for MSQ-type questions: Full Marks: + 4 If only (all) the correct option (s) is (are) chosen and None of the incorrect options is chosen. Partial Marks: + 3 If all four options are correct but ONLY three options are chosen, and None of the incorrect options is chosen. Partial Marks: + 2 If three or more options are correct but ONLY two options are chosen, both of which are correct and None of the incorrect options is chosen. Partial Marks: + 1 If two or more options are correct but ONLY one option is chosen and it is a correct option and None of the incorrect options is chosen. Zero Marks: 0 If None of the options is chosen (i.e., the question is unanswered). Negative Marks: -1 In all other cases.

What happens if a candidate impersonates another candidate in UCEED exam?

Impersonation in UCEED exam is not allowed. Any candidate who is found indulging in such activities will be disqualified. Criminal proceedings may also be brought against candidates. So it is asked that candidates follow guidelines issued by IIT Bombay for appearing in exam. Activities like cheating, disturbing other candidates during the exam, etc. are also not allowed.

Will exam officials provide stationery to candidates in the UCEED exam centre?

Exam officials will not make any arrangements for stationery items for appearing in the exam. So, it is the sole responsibility of the candidate to bring the necessary stationery. Here are the basic stationery items one needs to take the UCEED exam: pens, pencils, sketch pens and colours for the examination. The candidate, however, mustn't bring any drawing sheets with them to the exam hall. It is recommended that the candidate carefully go through the list of allowed and barred items before arriving at the UCEED exam centre.

How can I prepare for UCEED Entrance Exam in 6 months?

Go through UCEED syllabus 2026 completely. Understand UCEED exam pattern and marking scheme and prepare accordingly. Get all study material for UCEED, such as prep books and previous year's question papers. Create a monthly plan on how much syllabus to cover daily. Solve question papers, sample papers and mock tests.

Where can I get hard copies of the UCEED 2026 scorecard?

IIT Bombay will not release any hard copies of the UCEED 2026 scorecard. The scorecard will be available in online mode only. It will be released in the form of a downloadable pdf; you can download it from the official admission portal - uceed.iitb.ac.in. The last date to download the scorecard is July 31, 2026.

When should I pay the UCEED 2026 seat-acceptance fee?

To avoid any last-minute unforeseen transaction issues, you should pay the seat acceptance fee for a round well before the end time/date of the corresponding round. If the fee is not paid within the given deadline, allotment will be cancelled. Also, such seats will be offered to the candidate next in the order of merit.

Will IIT Bombay conduct spot round of counseling for UCEED 2026?

UCEED 2026 counseling will be conducted by IIT Bombay. The counseling process will have five rounds. The Joint Admission Process will not have any spot rounds. However, IITDM Jabalpur may conduct a spot round of admissions at the institutional level if there are any vacant seats after completion of the counselling.

What is provisional UCEED seat allotment?

UCEED seat allotment will be provisional and will be confirmed by admitting institutes only after fees are paid, documents are duly verified, and their formalities are completed. If any of the steps are left incomplete, the seat allotment can be cancelled. In such a case, the vacant seats will be offered to the candidate next in the order of merit.

When will the UCEED 2026 application form open?

UCEED 2026 Application was open from October 01, 2025, on the official website. Last date to apply with regular fees was on November 05, 2025. Candidates who met the prescribed eligibility criteria were able to apply for admission.

Can students from Commerce/ Arts or Humanities apply for admission to IIITDM Jabalpur through UCEED 2026?

No, candidates from m Commerce, Arts or Humanities at 10+2 are not eligible to apply for BDes admissions at IIITDM Jabalpur. For admission to BDes at IIITDM Jabalpur, the candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology. The candidate is urged to carefully go through the detailed UCEED 2025 eligibility criteria before applying for admission.

Can I come out of the UCEED exam centre before the final bell rings?

No, you cannot come out of the UCEED exam centre before the final bell rings. The candidate is not allowed to leave the exam hall until the exam is over. Once the exam is over, the invigilator will collect the answer sheets and complete any other formalities.

How will scribes be allocated to the candidates for UCEED exam?

Exam officials will make the necessary arrangements through the test centre administrator (TCA) of the examination centre to provide a panel of scribes (amanuenses). Only such candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be considered for scribe services. Scribes will be students of Class XI. The PwD/Dyslexic (severe) candidate has to choose a scribe from this panel. The candidates are not be allowed to bring their own scribes.

When will UCEED 2026 admit cards be released?

The admit cards for the UCEED 2026 exam were released on January 02, 2026. Admit cards will be released for all candidates who successfully complete the application form. It was released online at uceed.iitb.ac.in. Canddiates must carry admit card with them to the exam centre.

What are the exam cities where UCEED 2026 exam will be conducted?

IIT Bombay released the updated list of UCEED 2026 exam centres through the information brochure. The list of exam cities to hold UCEED 2026 Centres: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Ernakulum, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, and Visakhapatnam, Coimbatore, Ernakulam, and Mysuru. Note that each city could have one or more exam centres. The allotment of exam centres would be done based on the exam city selected by the candidate, the address, and the total applicants.
