The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, celebrates the success of the NURTURE Program, a flagship initiative launched in July 2023 to empower SC/ST students with future-ready skills in emerging and transformative technologies.

Spearheaded by the I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC), the Technology Innovation Hub at IIT Delhi, the program has trained over 50,000 SC/ST students across 600 institutions nationwide within just 13 months. With a strong focus on technical excellence and career empowerment, NURTURE is bridging the opportunity gap and driving inclusive, innovation-led growth across India.

IIT Delhi NURTURE Program Curriculum

The NURTURE curriculum offers immersive, hands-on training across high-impact technological domains such as Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Drone Technology, Medical Technology, and more. IHFC, in collaboration with over 20 leading industry and academic partners, ensures the delivery of world-class content, real-world exposure, and personalized mentorship through a robust training ecosystem. Every participant receives a certification upon completion, enhancing their employability in today’s fast-evolving tech landscape.

With a strong emphasis on gender inclusivity, the program has successfully reached over 20,000 girls and 30,000 boys, made possible through partnerships with organizations dedicated to advancing girls' education and empowerment.

“The NURTURE Program reflects our commitment to democratizing access to technology education,” said Dr. Ekta Kapoor, Mission Director, Department of Science and Technology. She further added, “By focusing on inclusivity, innovation, and employability, we are cultivating a new generation of confident, capable change makers across all strata.”

“When IHFC got the opportunity to scale NURTURE across India, we were thrilled,” said Prof. S.K. Saha, Project Director, IHFC. “It aligned perfectly with our vision of making deep-tech learning and STEM education accessible from the grassroots to the top, ensuring that India becomes STEM-equipped at every level.”
