IIT Delhi’s IHFC Trains Over 50,000 SC/ST Youth in Advanced Tech Under NURTURE Program
IHFC, the Technology Innovation Hub of IIT Delhi, has trained over 50,000 SC/ST students in advanced technologies through its NURTURE program.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, celebrates the success of the NURTURE Program, a flagship initiative launched in July 2023 to empower SC/ST students with future-ready skills in emerging and transformative technologies.
Spearheaded by the I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC), the Technology Innovation Hub at IIT Delhi, the program has trained over 50,000 SC/ST students across 600 institutions nationwide within just 13 months. With a strong focus on technical excellence and career empowerment, NURTURE is bridging the opportunity gap and driving inclusive, innovation-led growth across India.

With a strong emphasis on gender inclusivity, the program has successfully reached over 20,000 girls and 30,000 boys, made possible through partnerships with organizations dedicated to advancing girls' education and empowerment.
“The NURTURE Program reflects our commitment to democratizing access to technology education,” said Dr. Ekta Kapoor, Mission Director, Department of Science and Technology. She further added, “By focusing on inclusivity, innovation, and employability, we are cultivating a new generation of confident, capable change makers across all strata.”
