MHCET Law Counselling 2026: The Maharashtra CET Cell will begin the counselling process for 5-year LLB and MH CET 3-year LLB on the MAH CET Cell website. Candidates will be able to access the MH Law CET Seat Allotment List through the college website and CAP portal. Thereafter, they have to report to the college for seat confirmation and document verification. The counselling process consists of online registration followed by college preference options. Candidates who successfully clear the MHCET Law exam will be able to participate in the counseling.

What is MH CET Law 2026 CAP?

MH CET Law 2026 Centralized Admission Process (CAP) includes counselling registration by candidates, document verification, choice-locking, seat allocation, and admission confirmation by candidates. Once the CAP process is completed, the CET Cell Maharashtra will release merit lists for MH CET Law 2026 in different rounds for both 5-year LLB and 3-year LLB.

Details Mentioned on MH CET Law Merit List 2026

MHCET Law 2026 merit list contains the following details:

  • Name of the candidate
  • Candidate's merit rank
  • Application number
  • Candidature type

Candidates who are included in the merit lists need to get admission to the assigned colleges as per the schedule shared with them.

There will be at least three rounds of counselling for MHCET Law 2026 or till the seats at participating institutes are still vacant. MH CET law 2026  counselling or Centalised Admission Process is conducted online. MHCET Law 2026 CAP will have two rounds, but if there are any vacant seats left, institution-level counselling will be held.

MHCET Law 2026 seat allotment process will be available as 1) individual candidate allotment and 2) institute-wise allotment. Seat allotment is made on the basis of 1) MH CET law 2026 merit rank, and 2) options selected during the option-entry process.

A: 

If you are not satisfied with your seat allotment through the MH CET Law Counselling, you can either participate in the subsequent rounds of counselling. You also have the option to withdraw from counselling. You will have to pay a withdrawal fee.

Q:   What is Freeze option in MH CET Law counselling?
A: 

Under MH CET Law CAP process, freeze option refers when candidates want to confirm their allotment and if they do not want to participate in the further counselling rounds. How to Register for MHCET Law Counselling 2026?

The MH CET Law 2026 counselling will be conducted through a Centralised Admission Process (CAP) in online mode in multiple rounds. For each MH CET Law 2026 CAP round, candidates will have to fill out the CAP registration form (same as the MH CET Law counselling registration form) and select the colleges in which they want to get admission. Based on the marks achieved by candidates in the MH CET Law 2026 exam and CAP registration for different rounds, the respective merit lists will be released.  

Candidates need to register online on the official website of CET Cell Maharashtra as under:

  • Register as a new candidate by filling the required details for MH CET Law counselling process 
  • Upload documents related to the academic and category on the website only
  • Next, fill the choice of colleges from the given list as per your preference and pay the counselling fee.
  • Provisional allotment list is published by the examination authority on the official website based on the preferences given by candidates.

MH CET Law 2026: Document Required for Verification

The list of documents required for admission formalities at the allotted colleges are, 

  • Admit Card and Rank Card
  • MHCET Law Application Form
  • Class 12th and class 10th mark sheets 
  • Graduation mark sheets and certificates for three-year LLB course admission
  • Caste certificate
  • Domicile certificate/ Birth certificate/ School leaving certificate (mentioning the place of birth/ Community, Nativity & date of birth certificate)
  • PwD certificate and medical certificate
  • Photographs (at least four)

What is Option Entry Process for MAH CET LLB 2026?

During the counselling process, candidates have the option to ‘Freeze’ or ‘Float’ their choices before accepting their seats. Both the terms are explained below-

Freeze option - Candidates can exercise ‘Freeze’ option to confirm their allotment and if they do not want to participate in the further counselling rounds. They will accept the allotted college and pay the admission fee. Such candidates will not be considered for further counselling rounds.

Float option - This option enables the candidates to appear fort the next round of counselling if they are not satisfied with the current allocation.

The registration process for the counselling started will begin online on the CET cell official website at cetcell.mahacet.org. The CAP process will be conducted for 3-year and 5-year LLB separately.   •  Candidates who do not want to accept the allotted seat have to exercise float option and in such cases, they will be eligible to participate in next round for better seat allotment
  • Freshly registered candidates will be allotted seat in this round 
  • Candidates from the first-round can participate in this round for better seat allotment option
  • Candidates who did not accept the seat in the first round will be allotted seat in this round

No, you have to carry a print out of the admit card on the exam day. There is no provision to show the hall ticket through any electronic devices on exam day.

No. The candidates will not be allowed to carry their mobile phone to the MH CET LAW exam centre. The authorities will not allow the candidates to bring their electronic devices inside the centres.
