SSC is the central recruitment agency for some Group B and all Group C and D posts under the Central Government. SSC has the status of attached office to the Ministry of Personnel, which is equivalent to the UPSC. It operated through its regional offices spread across the nation.
The full form of SSC is Staff Selection Commission. SSC conduct various exam to fulfil the requirements raised by various Central government ministries, departments and security forces. 81,752 candidates were selected for the SSC CGL 2023 Tier 2 exam. The exam is scheduled to be held from October 25–27, 2023. It is expected that 12,36,202 candidates (49.97%) participated in the computer-based Tier-I Examination. The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam was conducted online at the designated exam centres only. The Commission released the SSC CGL 2023 Tier 1 result on September 19.
The Commission also released the SSC CGL 2023 Cutoff for all the posts groups and categories within them.

Posts Available Under SSC CHSL Exam
SSC CHSL exam is one of the most important exams for candidates who are Highers Secondary passed only. These candidates are appointed to the post of Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretarial Assistant (JSA), Postal and Sorting Assistant and the like. The SSC CHSL exam recruits candidates for Group C posts only. There is no Group B post in the exam because the eligibility is Higher Secondary only. No. The Tier 1 marks for the SSC CGL are not used in the preparation of the final merit list. The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam is qualifying in nature. Candidates are shortlisted for Tier 2 exam. However, the final selection and ranking is based on the marks obtained in the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam.
