Students are suggested to read and follow the tips mentioned below to ace the Assam HS exams 2026:

  • Prepare a timetable, keeping an equal time slot for each paper. Also, keep a time slot for solving AHSEC sample papers and previous years’ question papers.

No, there is no negative marking scheme for the AHSEC HS exams. The board will not deduct marks for incorrect/wrong answers in the final Assam 12th exams. In objective section, one mark is given for each correct answers while no marks are deducted for wrong answers. Hence, the students must attempt all the questions in the final Assam Board HS exams.

Q:   What is the marking scheme for AHSEC HS Board exams 2026?

In AHSEC HS exams, there are a total of five subject including 2 language papers. For most papers, the students are given a maximum of 100 marks in theory papers. On the other hand, for a few papers like Physicis, Chemistry, Social Science, a total of 70 marks are given while 30 marks for practicals. Each theory paper is divided into sections that include multiple-choice questions, short answers, and long answers.

Both theoretical and practical exams are held to check student's knowledge in the papers in the AHSEC HS exams. There are a total of five subjects in Assam HS exams and each paper contan a total of 100 marks. No, examiners will not deduct marks for exceeding the word limit. Marks will be deducted for spelling mistakes in the Language Papers.
