CEED Repeated Questions

CEED Repeated Questions

CEED Entrance Exam will be conducted on January 18, 2026 for all the candidates who have filled the IIT CEED Registration form. The entrance Exam will be from 9 AM to 12 PM on Sunday. The reporting time of the exam will be 7 AM. It is mandatory to carry CEED Hall ticket to the exam centre. 

CEED Entrance Test will have two parts Part A and Part B. Part A will be computer based and Part B will be offline. Both parts will be conducted at the CEED Centre. The question paper will be of 250 marks. Part A will be of 150 marks and Part B will of 100 marks.

What is the marking scheme for CEED 2026 Exam Part A?

CEED 2026 Exam will have 44 questions. Question paper will comprise of NAT, MCQ, and MSQs. There will be negative marking in case of MSQs and MCQs. The total marks for Part A will be 100.

Q:   How many sections will the CEED 2026 question paper have?
A:

CEED question paper will have two sections, Part A and Part B. Both sections are mandatory. Part A will have three sections, MCQ, MSQ and NAT. Part B will include only subjective type questions.

Q:   Will the question paper include questions from all the topics mentioned in CEED 2026 syllabus?
A:

The topics listed in the CEED syllabus is indicative in nature. Also, the syllabus is exhaustive in the sense that questions may be asked from all or some of the topics. So, the candidate can’t skip any topics when preparing for CEED. 

The candidate is urged to go through the previous years' question papers to get an idea about the paper structure and types of questions asked. That being said, keep in mind that the syllabus has been revised for CEED.

CEED admission portal has many useful resources, including previous years’ question papers and answer keys.

What is the marking scheme for CEED 2026 Exam Part B?

There will be 5 questions in CEED Part B. There is no negative marking in these questions. The marking scheme for the CEED Part B exam is as mentioned below:

Q:   Do mock tests and CEED sample papers have the sample role?
A:

No, mock tests are not the same as CEED question or sample papers. 

It is because the main purpose of the mock tests is to help the candidate get acquainted with the exam pattern and system, especially if the exam is conducted in an online mode. The mocks will allow the candidate get accustomed with the exam mode, navigation, scoring, and answering patterns. To some extent it also may help the candidate improve problem-solving and time-managment skills, which are typically the exclusive domain of CEED sample papers.

Additionally, mock tests are meant to be taken in the last few days of the exam. On the other hand, sample papers are typically solved even in the early stages of exam preparation.

Q:   What is the purpose of solving question and sample papers of CEED?
A:

There are multiple benefits of solving sample papers of CEED. Some of them are given below:

  • The sample papers will contain questions similar to the ones that will be asked in the CEE exam. Or in other words, they will cover the same topics, weightage, and difficulty level.

  • Sample papers are useful for improving one’s problem-solving and time-management skills.

  • Question papers, meanwhile, will allow the candidate to check the types of questions asked in the previous edition of the exam, any specific trend followed, weightage given to various sections, etc.

  • Concept building is another area that can be honed by solving sample papers.

Q:   Can I also download the solutions of CEED question papers?
A:

Yes, you can download the answers for CEED question paper. IIT Bombay releases the answer keys of the CEED exam along with the question paper. The answer keys contain the answers to the questions asked in the entrance exam.

Question 1. Draw a freehand perspective drawing of a person opening the refrigerator door in the kitchen. OR Draw a freehand perspective drawing of a person standing next to a scooter parked on the street. 

 

Question 2. Umbrellas are used mainly during the rainy season and usually remain unused during the rest of the year. Creatively generate 3 alternative uses of the umbrella other than just as protection from rain or sunshine. Illustrate your ideas in the form of sketches with short descriptions. 

 

Question 3. Design a graphical user interface (GUI) for a website of a movie theatre complex named ‘Navrang Chitrapat’ for booking movie tickets online. The complex has 3 theatres with each theatre screening a different film, three shows per day. Present your design solutions in the form of screen shots. Draw minimum of six screen shots explaining the booking procedure in a sequence. Support your design solution with a brief note on the design decisions.

b. Generate at least three concepts through pencil sketches based on the factors identified above. Present these pencil sketches along with brief notes (if necessary) in the space provided.

c. Synthesize your final concept and present this through drawing, showing the overall form and the design of its interface.

The qualifying cut-off is the minimum marks a candidate needs to score in the paper to get shortlisted. Part B answer booklets will only be evaluated if the candidate gets shortlisted.

IIT Roorkee doesn't offer PhD in Design course through CEED. It only offers a MDes in Industrial Design. Admission to the M.Des programme will be based on CEED 2026 merit rank. The candidate will have to apply directly to the participating college once results are declared.

The candidate must note that IIT Bombay is only responsible for conducting the CEED Entrance exam. Unlike UCEED, it will not conduct any Joint Seat Allotment.

No, IIT Bombay will not send the hard copies of CEED 2026 Scorecard. The scorecard of CEED will be issued only in online mode. The candidate has to download it from the CEED admission portal - ceed.iitb.ac.in. To download the scorecard, log in by entering your email id and password.

No, you cannot use your CEED 2025 scorecard to get admission to 2026 academic year. The scorecard is valid for one year from the date of issue.
