Candidates seeking admission to the various courses offered by the NIFTs must meet the program-specific eligibility criteria before applying for admission. The candidate seeking admission to the design courses needs to meet the program-specific NIFT 2025 eligibility criteria. The NIFT eligibility criteria for admission to each of these courses is different. This means if you are applying for admission to the B.Des program, you need to meet the eligibility criteria specific to that program.

So, when applying for admission, you must carefully check that you meet the eligibility conditions for your chosen program. If not, the candidate may not be considered for admission.

Q. When will the eligibility criteria of NIFT 2025 be released?
A. The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has released the eligibility criteria of NIFT 2025 on its admission portal. The eligibility criteria will be mentioned in the information brochure. The candidate needs to carefully go through the criteria before applying for admission to their chosen program.
Q. What the minimum age limit to apply to the B.Des program through NIFT 2025?
A. The candidate needs to be less than 24 years as of August 1, 2025, to be considered for admission to the B.Des program. Note that relaxation in the upper age limit applies to SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
Q. What is the minimum academic qualification for admission to the B.Des program at NFT?
A. Candidates seeking admission to the B.Des program through NIFT 2025 must have passed 10+2 exam. Note that no minimum marks have been prescribed.
Q. I have done a 4-year diploma recognized by AICTE. Am I eligible for admission to the B.Des program at NIFT?
A. As per the official eligibility criteria of NIFT 2025, candidates who have done 3 or 4 years diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education are eligible for admission to the B.Des program conducted through NIFT 2025 exam.
Q. Is there any upper age limit for admission to the M.Des program through NIFT 2025?
A. There is no upper age limit for admission to the M.Des program at the NIFTs. There is also no upper age limit for the M.F.Tech and M.F.M courses. The candidate is however urged to go through the rest of the eligibility criteria.
