UCEED 2024 exam analysis - IIT Bombay conducted the UCEED 2024 exam on January 21, 2024 (9 am - 12 noon).
With the exam now over, the attention now shifts to the UCEED 2024 exam analysis.
The exam or question paper analysis of UCEED 2024 covers multiple elements like the sectional and overall difficulty level of the UCEED 2024 question paper, paper length, specific questions asked, weightage, etc.

As per the student reaction coming in, the UCEED 2024 exam was easy to moderate, though some students found the paper to be a bit lengthy. Also, considering the paper was lengthy, the UCEED 2024 cut-off will stay on the higher side.
UCEED 2026 question paper included a total of 59 questions. The section-wise questions asked in Part A was: NAT (14), MSQs (15), and MCQs (28). Part B included a solitary Drawing-based question. The section-wise difficulty level of UCEED 2026 is given below.

UCEED 2024 exam analysis and student reaction
According to Ridhi Khera, appearing in the UCEED for the first time, her overall experience of the exam was nice and decent. She felt that among all the sections, the NAT section was a bit difficult. The section included several area-based questions. Also, as the paper was easy, she expected the cut-off to be on the higher side. She also shared that most of her co-test takers were easily solving the problems and completing their drawings on time.
Vachin Gupta, another UCEED candidate, said that he had a good overall overall experience given the paper was easy. Among the sections, he found the aptitude section the easiest. In comparison, the drawing section was a bit difficult, which he attributed may be to his lack of forte in the section.
Abhishek, too, found the UCEED 2024 exam to be easy. However, he said that the question paper was lengthy. Among the various sections, numerical was a bit on the difficult side.
None of the candidates faced any technical issues during the exam, nor they they see any other candidates facing any such issues.
IIT Bombay usually doesn’t conduct any mock tests for the UCEED exam. So, the candidate may take mock tests conducted for other entrance exams to prepare for UCEED 2026 exam. The candidate may note that in this case the mocks will help them understand how an online exam is administered and the navigation process. However, it is not an exact replica of how the UCEED 2026 exam will be conducted.
The mock tests are to be taken in the last few weeks before the UCEED exam. Avoid taking mock tests when you are starting preparation for the exam.
As per the exam analysis done by Shiksha.com, the UCEED 2024 question paper was easy.
That being said, some candidates felt that the paper was a bit lengthy. The paper cotained few surprises, though; note that the UCEED syllabus was revised starting 2024.
The NAT sections was the most difficult of the three sections and included a few area-based questions. Drawing section was of moderate difficulty.

UCEED 2026 question paper will have two parts: 1. computer-based Part A and 2. Drawing and aptitude based Part B.
Some of topics to prepare for UCEED are given below.
- Visualization and spatial reasoning: Ability to visualise and transform 2D shapes and 3D objects and their spatial relationships.
- Practical and scientific knowledge: Know-how of scientific principles and everyday objects.
- Observation and design sensitivity: Capacity to detect concealed properties in day-to-day life and think critically about them. Attention to details, classification, analysis, inference and prediction.
- Environment and society: General awareness of environmental, social and cultural connections with design.
- Analytical and logical reasoning: Ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative information.
- Language: Proficiency in reading and comprehending Standard English .
- Creativity: Grasp of verbal and non-verbal analogies, metaphors, signs and symbols.
Note that Part A of the UCEED 2024 exam was conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) mode.
UCEED 2024 Answer Key
IIT Bombay will release the draft answer key of UCEED 2024 on January 23, 2024. The student response will also be released alongside the draft answer key. The candidate can download the draft key from the UCEED admission portal - uceed.iitb.ac.in.
By using the daft answer key in tandem with the response sheet, the candidate will be able to calculate probable scores. Follow the UCEED 2024 exam pattern when calculating scores.
The candidate will also have the option to file objections against the draft key till January 25, 2024 (5 pm).
Objections have to be filed using the master answer key.
The final answer key for UCEED 2024 will be released on January 31, 2024.

If you have biology as a subject in 10+2, then you can apply for B.Des programme at IIITDM Jabalpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Indore.
To apply at IIITDM, you need to have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology subjects in 10+2.

No, you cannot apply for B.Des programme at IIT Roorkee even if you have cleared the UCEED Entrance Exam because Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are compulsory subjects in 10+2. But you can apply for B.Des programme at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Indore.

If you consider the question paper of UCEED 2026, then the exam can be considered to be moderately difficult. For instance, of the 68 questions asked, around 18 questions fall in the moderate category, 18 in the moderate to difficult category, while the rest can be tagged easy to moderate.
In contrast, NIFT and NID DAT are considered to be tougher. This is because in NID DAT, more weightage is given to subjective and drawing-related questions. Consequently, the candidate needs to be very creative and have strong fundamentals to answer the questions. In NID DAT for the B. Des programme, DAT Prelims carries 40% weightage, while DAT Mains carries 60% weightage.
