Students must have completed 10+2 or any equivalent exam in any discipline. Q:   Is it compulsory to give entrance exam for admission to Fashion Design courses?
A:

It is not mandatory to give entrance exams for admission to Fashion Designing courses after completing 12th. There are more than 1,000 institutes that give admission on the basis of Class 12 scores and take additional rounds like skill assessment or portfolio submission to test the capabilities of the applicants. Having said that, top colleges like the NIFTs or NIDs require valid exam scores for admission.

It is better to give a few entrance exams to keep your backup options available in case you cannot make it to the Class 12 merit cutoff lists. Best of luck!
