Calculation of raw score
The Raw score in JEE Main is calculated by first calculating the total marks out of 300, along with the separate raw score for Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. This calculation is done using the marking scheme of the exam, which is +4 for each correct answer, 0 marks for unattempted questions, and -1 for each wrong attempt.
Raw score converted to percentile score
Once the raw scores are calculated, NTA converts the raw scores of all three subjects and the total raw score into a percentile using the formula below:

Expected JEE 2026 Rank for 270 Score
