JEE Main admission cutoff is released by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority JoSAA and is in the form of All India Rank.

Raw Score Calculation

  • The total score out of 300 is calculated. Also, the raw scores of the candidates are calculated for all three subjects - Maths, Physics and Chemistry individually.
  • To calculate the raw score, NTA uses the marking scheme of the exam, which is +4 for each correct answer, 0 marks for unattempted questions, and -1 for each wrong attempt.

The raw scores of the candidates are converted into a percentile score or NTA score in each subject. The total marks out of 300 are also converted to a percentile score using the formulas below.

Yes, you can wear a hijab in the JEE Mains exam as it is considered a religious item. However, you will likely undergo enhanced security checks at the exam centre.

OJEE and JEE syllabus is somewhat same and different in some places. The OJEE syllabus for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics is different from JEE. In JEE, the physics syllabus includes topics such as Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Optics, etc. These topics require knowledge of physics topics.
