Shiksha covered the exam on May 17 at a BITSAT 2019 test centre in Noida. Most of the students whom we spoke to shared that despite the exam being of moderate difficulty level, time and speed were two factors that would influence the score of candidates in the exam. Nishtha, an engineering aspirant, shared, “ In comparison to JEE Main, BITSAT is way easier. However the time limit is less. The person has to mainly concentrate on the speed during the test. For me, logical reasoning was the easiest while Physics was the toughest.

Another aspirant Arshdeep added, “ The difficulty level was moderate and I could easily attempt around 130 questions. Mathematics was very easy so you could attempt all the questions which is extra-ordinary in comparison to exams like JEE Mains. Physics was neither tough nor difficult. Chemistry had questions directly from NCERT. Students appearing for BITSAT 2019 will be able to easily solve 120 questions”. Arshdeep has also appeared for other private engineering entrance exams like SRMJEEE and VITEEE.
Animesh who appeared for the first shift of the exam on May 17, said, “ Mathematics was very lengthy and had around 45 questions. The subjects requires a lot of practice and speed. LR was very easy while Physics and Chemistry was theory based. Once could easily solve questions if they had read NCERT and if the basic concepts are clear”.
Sharing tips for future BITSAT 2019 aspirants, another student Sumir added, “If you are appearing for the exam in the next few days, solve as many mock tests as you can Increase your speed to score well in the exam”.
