When you are preparing for IIT JEE 2020, do remember that your marks in Class 12th board exams will play a vital role. So, you must pay appropriate attention to your board exams. As for other exams, for this exam also I would suggest you go for an early preparation strategy with appropriate content material. The following table depicts the useful books for JEE.

It is suggested not to use too many books for preparation. That may lead you to confusion or may affect your study plan. Use the books which suit your learning pattern and cover maximum content. JEE has been particularly structured to asses the fundamentals of Class 12th subjects. It is to evaluate whether the aspirant can implement his/her basic knowledge to solve the problem given in the question or not? Revision, as suggested in the previous article as well as the most important part of learning and exam preparation. The same suggestion goes for JEE as well. Do regular revision, use previous year papers and identify your weak areas. It is often suggested to go for the last three years' paper for conducting a mock test. Every exam is bounded by time limits and so as this. So it is advisable to use stopwatch while solving questions for practice.
A simple and effective plan for JEE preparation will take you a long way in gaining a healthy score. A plan should include your study time suits you (varies from person to person), your weak areas need to be identified and should have priority in your study plan. You should include revision time and time for recreation as well in your study plan. Do not compromise with your sleep.
How to prepare for JEE without coaching
Not every student can afford a huge amount of fee to be paid to coaching institutions for preparation. But your "will" most of the time decides your "way". Without coaching also you can prepare for the IIT JEE and you can clear the same provided you are preparing religiously. Resources and their proper utilization matters, not the coaching institutions. If you are willing to prepare at home try to fetch relevant and appropriate books for JEE preparation. Not only IIT previous year papers you can use previous year papers of AIEEE as well. Practicing these papers will develop time management skills, which I mentioned above is important for this exam. So, if you want to study at home, you should get appropriate books for IIT preparation. Besides mastering school books, you need to go through reference books and solve as many JEE model papers as you can. It is always suggested to approach your subject teachers available at school and clear your doubts as soon as possible to go for an advance study concerning the same topic. It is always advisable not to hesitate in asking questions. IIT JEE is an exam where it is expected that you grab the content enough to maintain engineering studies once you get the admission.

With a JEE Main percentile of 90.94 and CRL rank ~1.4 Lacs (female, general category), you have realistic chances in mid-tier NITs (later rounds), state government colleges, and strong private universities in Tamil Nadu and Bangalore for ECE/EEE. Top NITs/IIITs are unlikely, but good regional option
