Electronics and Communication Engineering is an engineering discipline that designs, develops, and tests electronic circuits and communication devices. GATE 2026 Electronics and Communication Engineering Exam Dates

The Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, has released the GATE 2026 exam dates. Candidates can check on official website- gate2026.iitg.ac.in or check at GATE 2026 branch-wise exam dates page. GATE ECE paper exam is on Feb 15 (first shift). Candidates appearing for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering must download their GATE admit card 2026 and follow the GATE exam day guidelines.

Q:   What is the fees of MDes in IIT Bombay?
A: 

The total tuition fee for IIT Bombay MDes is INR 1 Lacs as per an unofficial source. Students belonging to SC/ ST/ PwD category or a child of institution staff are exempted from paying the tuition fee. There is a concessional and a non-concessional fee for candidates belonging to General/ EWS/ OBC-NCL category. The concessional is offered on tuition fee. Candidates apart from the tuition fee are required to pay examination fee, medical fee, etc. Students not staying in hostel are exempted from the payment of hostel fee. 

Apart from the course fee, candidates also have to pay a registration fee of INR 300 for General/ OBC Male and INR 150 for SC/ ST/ PwD and female candidates.

GATE 2026 Electronics and Communication Engineering Exam Pattern

The GATE 2026 EC paper will be held online for three hours. The question paper is divided into two sections - general aptitude and ECE subject. The mode of language is English. Three types of questions will be asked in the examination: multiple-choice questions (MCQ), multiple-select questions (MSQ), and numerical answer-type questions (NAT). 

According to the GATE ECE 2026 exam pattern, the ECE question paper comprises 65 questions of 100 marks. It is divided into general aptitude questions of 15 marks and subject-specific questions of 85.
