IIST JEE Advanced Cutoff 2025: The IIST JEE Advanced cutoff is based on JEE Advanced percentage. Unlike JoSAA, where the JEE Advanced cutoff is the opening and closing rank, IIST admits based on JEE Advanced percentage. The IIST JEE Advanced cutoff is at least 14% marks in aggregate and at least 3% marks in each of the three subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) for general category candidates. The EWS/ OBC-NCL candidates need at least 12.6% marks in aggregate and at least 2.7% marks in each of the three subjects, and 7% marks in aggregate and at least 1.5% marks in each of the three subjects for the SC/ ST/ PD candidates.

IIST Admission Process via JEE Advanced 2025
Check below the IIST admission process 2025:
- The IIST admission process includes filling the IIST UG application form at the official website iist.ac.in with JEE Advanced marks and ranks.
- Thereafter, IIST prepares the Category-wise IIST Admission Rank List. IIST Admission Rank List is prepared based on the aggregate marks scored in JEE Advanced Examination, subject to satisfying the minimum marks prescribed.
- Candidates whose names appear in the IIST Admission Rank List are required to fill in their choice of branch in order of preference for the Undergraduate and Dual Degree Programmes.
- Based on available vacancies, seat allocation to the three branches will be done in order of merit.
- Candidates are then required to accept the seat or practice various options available for the allotted seats like freeze, float or slide.
- To confirm IIST admission, candidates are then required to pay the online payment of the First Semester Fee and upload scanned copies of the required documents.
- On successful verification of documents, a provisional ADMIT CARD will be generated. Candidates will be required to produce the ADMIT CARD at the time of joining IIST. Candidates, who have accepted the seat allotment are required to join IIST on the date specified by the Institute.

No, your candidature will be rejected as you need to have minimum of 75% in class 12 to be eligible for admisison to the IITs, NIT, IIITs and GFTIs via the JoSAA counselling. Even if you pass JEE Advanced and JEE Main, of you do not have 75% minimum marks in class 12 boards you will no get admission
