On January 17, 2020, as the JEE Main 2020 for January session results were declared, Akhil Jain, a student from Kota, scored 100 percentile in the exam and secured his place in the list of top 9 scorers.

Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main 2020 results have been announced by the exam conducting body National Testing Agency (NTA) on the official website 'jeemain.nta.nic.in' on January 17. Over nine lakh students from across the country appeared for JEE Main conducted on January 6-9, 2020.

As per the JEE Main results 2020, nine students got the perfect 100 NTA score. Out of these nine JEE Main 2020 toppers, Akhil Jain and Parth Dwivedi belong to Kota, Rajasthan.  Last year also, 4 students were among toppers from this state. 

In this article, Shiksha brings to you the suggestions from Rajasthan topper Akhil Jain, who is the son of a businessman and a homemaker from Kota. Akhil will be the first one from his family to join any engineering college after clearing the JEE Main 2020 exam with 100 percentile. Jain is now focusing on preparing for JEE Advanced which is the entrance exam for IITs.

According to Akhil Jain, students must thoroughly read NCERT books. He also added that JEE Main preparation demands more in-depth reading and analysis. Currently, he is studying for good results in the CBSE board exams. He also said that he devoted 3-4 hours in self-study daily while preparing for JEE Main.

According to Jain, he was not aspiring to get a 100 percent score but his goal was to clear the JEE Mains exam and to qualify for the JEE Advanced. His next target is to perform well in the CBSE board exams and JEE Advanced 2020. His key formula for success is regular studies and clearing the concepts at the right time.

The JEE Main Exam is conducted twice a year for admission to BE/BTech courses offered by the NITsIIITs, and CFTIs in India. JEE Main April 2020 application form will be released on February 7 and the last date to apply for JEE Main 2020 is March 7.
