MHT CET 2020 Counselling Know Documents required

MHT CET 2020 Counselling: Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell or CET Cell as commonly called, has begun the counselling for various technical and non-technical courses. Non-technical courses include MBA/MMS, BArch, BE/BTech, BPharma, BEd etc.

Other than BPharma and BTech, MHT CET 2020 counselling registration has already started for all the courses. Registration for MHT CET 2020 for PCM and PCB group has begun from today i.e. December 9, 2020 on the official website: cetcell.mahacet.org.

For the Centralized Admission Process (CAP), candidates need to get their documents verified. To get registered, candidates need to go to the Facilitation centres with the required certificates and documents in original. These would then be verified, scanned and uploaded on the system.

While there are a few standard documents required by all candidates, different ‘type’ of candidates (domicile of Maharashtra, J&K, outside, reserved, etc.) also require specific set of documents. Check the complete list of documents required below.

MHT CET 2020 Counselling: List of Documents required for all candidates

  • SSC or Class 10 Mark Sheet
  • HSC (Class 12), Diploma or BSc Mark Sheet (whichever applicable)
  • JEE Main, NEET, NATA Score Card - as applicable
  • Certificate of the Indian Nationality of the candidates (this could be any of the government-issued identity card including passport, aadhaar, ration card, etc)
  • For Second Year Engineering and Technology and Pharmacy: Equivalence Certificate from Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai [www.msbte.com] for student having passed diploma from Other Board] (excluding Govt Autonomous Institutes in Maharashtra and Dr BATU Lonere)

Apart from these, the candidates would have to provide documentary proof as per their type. Details of the same are listed in table below.

Type of Candidates

Additional Documents Required

Type-A Candidates

Domicile/Birth/Leaving certificate of candidate Indicating place of Birth in the State of Maharashtra.

Type-B Candidates

Domicile certificate of candidate/father/mother of candidate indicating that he/she is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra.

Type-C Candidates

Certificate from the employer in the proforma – A stating that father/mother of the candidate who is a Central Government / Government of India undertaking employee is presently posted in Maharashtra.

Type-D Candidates

Certificate from the employer in the proforma – B stating that father/mother of the candidate who is a Maharashtra State Government / Maharashtra State Government undertaking employee. Or Undertaking along with documentary evidences from the retired employee stating the place of settlement.

Type-E Candidates Maharashtra Karnataka disputed border area

1. Certificate stating that candidate belongs to the Maharashtra Karnataka disputed border area in proforma – G1. 2. Certificate stating that the mother tongue of the candidate is Marathi in proforma – G2 (List of the villages in Maharashtra Karnataka disputed border area is available on website)

Candidates can get the detailed list of documents as per their category on Page 40 of the MHT CET 2020 counselling Information Bulletin. All students are advised to go through the document list carefully.

MHT CET 2026 scores are used for Maharashtra State Quota admissions. For All India seats in engineering colleges of Maharashtra, JEE Main scores will be used.

Candidates can get an APAAR ID for MHT CET registration by registering on the DigiLocker website. Candidates can also get the APAAR enrollment number from their school.

MHT CET cutoff is of two types- All India Category and Maharashtra Category. The seats which are allotted under the All India Quota have opening and closing ranks mentioned as "AI" whereas seats allotted under Maharashtra Quota have the ranks mentioned as "MH".
