Understanding the SRM Network: Are All SRM Campuses the Same?
"SRM" is a group of institutions with different legal status, admission routes and fee structures. The fee structure differs because the admission route differs. SRMIST admits mainly through SRMJEEE. - SRM University, Andhra Pradesh (Amaravati) was established in 2017 and is a separate state private university.
- SRM University, Delhi-NCR, Sonepat (Haryana) was set up under the Haryana Private Universities Act and is a separate legal entity.
- SRM University Sikkim is a private state university established in 2013 under a state Act.

SRM BTech Fee Structure 2027: What is Included and What is Not
The course fees do not include charges like hostel and mess fees. Fees chargeable other than the course fee are listed below
Registration Fee: A one-time, non-refundable charge of around INR 10,000 to 15,000 at SRMIST.
Caution Deposit: Refundable, and charged in the first instalment.
Other Charges: Exam fees, library and lab fees, and extracurricular fees.
SRM Hostel and Mess Fees 2027
The hostel at SRM are mostly luxurious with good amenities like geyser, AC, attached washrooms. Hostels are available in twin sharing as well as 3, 4 and 5 sharing basis. Every hostel has its own mess which provides fresh meals to each resident three times a day and special dishes on occasion of festivals are served. Total Cost of Studying BTech at SRM
The total SRM BTech fees for a year could range around 2.75 to 6 lakh, depending on the course on which admitted and the type of hostel selected by the student. This do not include personal expenses like laptop or money spent of college projects.
SRMJEEE and Fee Slabs
Admission to SRMIST BTech is primarily based on SRMJEEE, with a minimum 60% aggregate in Class 12 and Physics and Mathematics mandatory. SRMJEEE is organised in three phases in April, June and July. The exact SRMJEEE 2027 exam date will be announced in the official website of institute. Your rank decides your branch and campus options, and therefore your fee band. NRI and International Student Fees
NRI/OCI admissions follow a separate route with a different fee structure across KTR, Ramapuram, Vadapalani and Delhi-NCR as well as other SRM Universities. The annual fees of NRI and other international category students for BTech ranges from USD 7,000 to 10,500 depending upon the branch and campus. The hostel and mess charges are paid in addition to the course fees.
