West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination is a state-level exam conducted by the state of West Bengal. As you all are aware that the exam is away from you. Most of them are working hard to achieve a good score. Many of them are busy in their preparation, and eagerly waiting for the exam.
Correct study material:-
Choosing the correct material and standard books are very important for a good score. One should take the right decision to collect the right materials regarding your syllabus. Referring to running is also important. Prefer NCERT books because these books play a major role in the examination. Moreover, have the idea of basic concepts of WBCHSE, revise these thoroughly because these books help for both board exams as well as WBJEE mains. For physics, you can choose concepts of physics by H.C.Verma and D. C. Pandey. For chemistry, you can choose Arihant publications, O.P.Tandon & NCERT chemistry. For mathematics, you can choose NCERT maths & R.S.Agarwal.

Examination structure:-
Candidates who are appearing for WBJEE mains must know the pattern. It is an offline mode of examination. The duration of examination is 4 hours, it consists of 2 papers, and each paper carries 2 hours of duration. Moreover, Paper-1 is Mathematics and Paper- 2 is both physics and chemistry. The type of questions will be multiple-choice questions. Physics subject contains 40 questions, Chemistry subject contains 40 questions and mathematics contains 75 questions. The total marks will be 200. Here there are the 3 categories:
Category-1: For each correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded, for each incorrect response there will loss of 1/4th mark.
Category-2: For each correct answer 2 marks will be awarded, for each incorrect response there will be a loss of 1/2mark.
Category-3: There is no negative marking. For the correct answer, you will get 2 marks.
Revision approach:-
Most of them are aware that Revision is the best way to achieve a good score. So keep this in mind and have a proper revision plan. If you are good with your study plan then definitely you will get a good score. There is no scope for skipping any topic if you have a proper study plan. Revise each and every topic, formulae, etc., Revise as many times as you can. Try to revise your running notes. Revision helps you to consolidate earlier gathered information and it helps to improve your score drastically. It also helps you to have a grip on the concepts.
Self-evaluation:-
Self-evaluation also helps you to improve your score drastically. Writing Mock tests and having self-evaluation is very important in any competitive exams like WBJEE Mains. You must practice sample papers and should attempt as many mocks as you can because it helps to increase your score. Practicing each and every sample papers or previous papers helps you a lot while examination you may get direct questions or models etc., don’t try to ignore self-evaluation and mock tests. After writing Mock tests, check your results and find out where you did mistakes and try to rectify them.

Yes, WBJEE is required for Haldia Institute of Pharmacy admissions. Especially for BPharma programme. The institute may consider scores of NEET or other exams in some cases. Students can check the same with the institute.
