The word study itself is sort of a never-ending ocean. Life is all about learning. Throughout our life, we like to review every sphere of life such as – academics, lectures and the workplace. But as life goes on, we face new challenges – sometimes we fail and sometimes we succeed.
For all the students, the base of the study lies in academics. In this article, let’s discuss the subsequent steps by which a student can get motivated.
Ignore comparisons
For any student, comparison is the biggest demotivating factor. You usually get compared with your classmates, peers whether you want it or not. Your teachers, fellow students, seniors, parents compare your intellectual skills, grades with other students. This becomes an absolute pain for the student, you usually feel inferior to the other student. My suggestion is to avoid these comparisons with your friends or peers. You can't stop people around you to regulate their non-ethical habits. It’s their nature to speak nonsense and demoralise. Focus on your studies and ignore what others are talking about you. If you're ready to duck out these things from your mind, you can overcome your first and foremost barrier and can specialise in your studies.

Schedule your study time
Make a scientific schedule for your study. As a student, it’s very difficult to maintain an appropriate routine. You're busy in numerous activities – attending classes, playing games, watching television, extracurricular activities. You’re a lot engrossed altogether in all the activities that you hardly excel in any of them. Everything is required during this modern age. You’ve to be good altogether in all the activities – academics and also in extracurricular as there is stiff competition. Make a proper plan, schedule your time as per importance and divide your time accordingly.
Prioritise your subjects/chapters
Now the subsequent step is to prioritise your subjects/chapters. This is often a stage where most students ruin themselves. The question here is- how do you utilise the most of your time in prioritising your subjects? Are you going to study all the topics together or pick up chapters per subject? The answers lie within you. You know your weaknesses are also your strengths. If you recognise your strengths, for instance - which subjects you're confident about. You can work on that first and make it stronger to fetch more marks. Then you can practice the subjects in which you are average or weak. You should make daily notes and revise one chapter from each. You ought to have all the study materials.
Concentrate during classes
I have seen most scholars are distracted in classes regardless of one or more reasons. If you concentrate properly, half of the study is completed. I know it’s difficult to understand everything taught in school. But you should be motivated to make the most of your classes. Devour details, notes from the lectures and you've done well with your exams.
Have a transparent vision
The next step is to possess a transparent vision of your goal. You would like to envisage your future grades, achievements and goals. Without setting goals, you can't succeed. Ask yourself the subsequent questions regarding your future. It's a great motivating factor for students.
The crux is you've to be an honest student. You can achieve the best grades but what matters the most is your discipline. One must be versatile by having a transparent vision about his/her career. You should be well prepared for your future job interviews. The interviewer judges your presence of mind and a tiny little piece of knowledge that can assist you to cross the hurdles. Indeed, mastering one subject should be the key focus of each and every student to achieve success but knowledge of all subjects can't be ruled out. Once you discover your goal, you're on the proper path. This may definitely offer you the required motivation.

With a JEE Main percentile of 90.94 and CRL rank ~1.4 Lacs (female, general category), you have realistic chances in mid-tier NITs (later rounds), state government colleges, and strong private universities in Tamil Nadu and Bangalore for ECE/EEE. Top NITs/IIITs are unlikely, but good regional option

With a JEE Main 2026 rank of 400,510 (≈ 70 percentile), admission to NITs, IIITs, or top GFTIs through JoSAA counseling is not possible.
Why?

With a JEE Main CRL rank of ~79,364 and an EWS category rank of ~11,884, you have a realistic chance of securing CSE in several mid-tier NITs, newer IIITs, and some GFTIs. Top NITs (Trichy, Surathkal, Warangal, Allahabad) are out of reach, but options like NIT Jalandhar, NIT Hamirpur, IIIT Kota, III
