If you’re appearing in 12th, then first prepare for your boards as it is a part of WBJEE and then start preparing extra topics to form your favourite subject. Therefore, it won’t bore you. WBJEE is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. Through this exam, you can get admission in different under graduation courses to enjoy engineering, pharmacy, architecture and a few others. Admissions will be given in various governments and good private colleges of the West Bengal state. Hard work is not enough for preparation of this exam, you have solved previous year questions and mock test. After giving the mock test, analyze your score and mistakes. See in which section you’re scoring well and where you can improve yourself. Make a proper strategy and then focus on those areas where still you can improve. Give the complete test in one go, then your body will be ready to sit for such a long duration and it will adjust accordingly. After solving at least 10 mock tests, you will have a better idea of an idea about the level and pattern of the exam. The duration of the exam is 4 hours so have a proper breakfast.

Don’t check out any new topic that you have not prepared yet. Just revise your notes and solve as many questions as you can. This is your golden duration. Go for a walk, talk with family members to relax your mind. Do not play online games as it will distract you from your goal and you will lose a lot of time there. Talk with your friends who are good at studies and prepare for the same exam and discuss doubts or problems with them. It will help you in the future in one or another way.

Yes, as per official WBJEE exam pattern, candidates can attempt the entrance examination in Bengali. Two language options will be provided to candidates for examination. Candidates can attempt WBJEE in either English or Bengali. Since question booklet will be available in both languages, candidates have to let invigilators know about their preference in the centre. No other medium of language will be used by the authorities. There will be no difference in the questions.

Since WBJEE is a competitive engineering entrance examination, the candidates are advised to start their preparation process as early as possible. However, if the candidates do not have much time left before the examination, they can follow certain preparation tips to ensure that they are able to do their best in the exam. First of all, the candidates should prepare a timetable so that they are able to cover the syllabus or the important topics before the examination. Previous year papers or mock tests should be regularly solved so that the candidates are aware of the examination pattern and recurring important topics. Candidates are advised not to study new topics before the examination and to focus on understanding the already studied topics more.

As per the announcement, Kingshuk Patra, Shubhradeep Paul, Bibaswan Biswas, Irradri Basu Khaund, Mayukh Chowdhury, Ritam Banerjee, Avik Das, Atharva Singhania, Shounak Kar and Bijit Moish secured the top 10 ranks in WBJEE 2024.

Q:   Shall I prepare any other topics apart from those mentioned in the WBJEE syllabus?

WBJEE syllabus cover more or less all the concepts in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics that have to be studied for the entrance examination. However, if possible, the candidates can prepare a few extra topics to have a higher understanding of the concepts and subjects. The authorities will prepare the question paper based on the syllabus of WBJEE. Most importantly, the candidates are advised to not stress too much and focus on the prescribed syllabus provided by the exam authorities.
Q:   Is revision important in WBJEE preparation? How much should I revise before the examination?

Yes. It is essential for the students to revise regularly before the entrance examination. The students are advised to revise everyday so that they have lesser chances of forgetting what they have earlier studied. This will allow the students to retain all of the important topics that they have studied and perform well in the examination. While preparing the timetable, the candidates should allot a few hours everyday to revision. As an essential part of the preparation process, it should not be skipped out on.

Yes, WBJEE is required for Haldia Institute of Pharmacy admissions. Especially for BPharma programme. The institute may consider scores of NEET or other exams in some cases. Students can check the same with the institute.

No, you cannot join Neotia University without appearing for an entrance examination. The university admits students to the BTech courses based on the WBJEE entrance exam, followed by the WBJEE counselling process.
