Follow the steps below to check WBJEE 2018 seat allotment round 1 results online:

Step 1: Visit the official website of WBJEEB

Step 2: Click on the “Seat Allotment Results Round 1” tab

Step 3: Select from the option given as to what you need to check. The options include:

  1. Institute wise seat allotment
  2. Opening and closing ranks
  3. Seat allotment results and payment of acceptance fee

Step 4: On selecting either of the options, following will be the case:

  • On selecting the first option, you will have to enter the name of college for which you wish to know the seat allotment
  • On selecting the second option, a complete list of colleges and their branch wise opening and closing ranks will be displayed on the screen
  • On selecting the third option, candidates will have to submit their registered credentials in order to view their allotment results and the next step is to make the payment of seat acceptance fee

The process of seat allotment is conducted on the basis of the exam cut offs. WBJEE 2018 cut offs for engineering, pharmacy and architecture courses are determined on the basis of candidates score and rank in the written examination. Candidates securing a rank equal to the cut off marks will be allowed to seek admissions, while candidates who fail to bag a rank falling within the cut off marks will not be able to participate in the next step to complete the admission process.

Pattern of Question Papers is as follows -

WBJEE cutoff will vary for the different colleges, courses and categories. Reserved category students are expected to have a lower cutoff than General students. Likewise, popular colleges and courses will have higher cutoffs due to the number of students applying for admission.

No, the students who meet the WBJEE cutoff will not be guaranteed admission. However, they will have higher chances of admission into their preferences. Since other factors will also be considered for allotment, the cutoff cannot be used as a guarantee for admission.
