To participate in the JEE Main counselling, candidates will need to upload the following documents at the time of JoSAA registration. JEE Mains correction window 2026 has now been closed. The facility to make corrections is available online on the JEE Main website jeemain.nta.nic.in. During the correction window, candidates are allowed to change/modify details filled in their application form. Candidates must note that not all fields in the application form will be open for correction. Only certain information like category, address of correspodance/permanent address, exam city preference, paper choice, signature etc. can be modified. Candidates might also be required to pay additional fees for making corrections in certain fields. 

To make corrections in the JEE Main application form, candidates have login to their accounts on the JEE Main official website using their application number and password.

JEE Main exam is in two shifts each day. First shift is from 9 am to 12 noon and second shift is from 3 pm to 5 pm. Exam is conducted over a period of 5-6 days. In total JEE Main has 10-12 shifts per session. Each session has different question paper set. The exam is for 3 hours.

No, JEE Main admit card and exam city slip are not same. Exam city intimation slip gives details about exam city and date of exam of candidates. It is released before the release of admit cards. 

JEE Main admit card is the hall ticket, which allows entry to thee exam hall for appearing in the exam. Candidates are allowed to appear in the exam only with JEE Mains admit card and not exam city slip.

There is no minimum or maximum age to apply for JEE Main as per JEE Main eligibility criteria by NTA. You can appear in JEE Mains for three consecutive years from the year of passing class 12. You must have passed class 12 in 2024, 2025 or you are appearing in 2026 if you plan to apply for JEE Main 2026.

Report to JEE Main exam centre as per time mentioned in admit card. Try to report at least one hour before JEE Mains exam starts. The first shift of exam starts at 9 am and the second shift at 3 pm.

Candidates need not have 75 percent marks in class 12 for appearing in JEE Main. As per the official brochure released by the NTA, there is no minimum percentage required for appearing in the JEE Main. The requirement of 75 percent marks need not be associated with appearing in the JEE Main exam.

It is to be understood that 75 percent marks is required for admission to institutes which include NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and IITs. Many institutes offer admission at 60% and even less, along with JEE Main. Candidates must clearly understand that the requirement of 75 percent marks in class 12 is only for taking admission in the institutes.

Visit jeemain.nta.nic.in and look for the "JEE (Main) City Intimation Slip" link under the candidate activity section. JEE Main exam city slip is the document which have details about the city in which the exam centre of the candidate is located. The JEE Mains city intimation slip also have details of the JEE Main exam date of the candidates. Candidates must note that the exam city slip is different from the admit card.
