Production Engineering is a branch of Mechanical Engineering that deals with the different aspects of production and quality control. Several diploma, undergraduate (UG), post-graduate (PG) and PhD programmes are available in Production Engineering. But most colleges in India only offer UG and PG courses. The syllabus of these courses mainly deals with the principles of the manufacturing process and how different concepts of Science, Maths, Physics and Chemistry are related to it. The students can work in research labs, manufacturing industries, sports, health, medicine and many other other sectors after completing a course in Production Engineering.
