Candidates looking for getting admission to NLUs must start their preparation. Candidates must include solving CLAT Free Mock Test released by Shiksha in their preparation plan. In order to understand the overall difficulty level of the CLAT Question Paper it is must to solve sample papers and mock tests. 

By solving the mock tests, candidates will also get an idea about their weak areas and where they need the focus. Apart from solving the mock tests, students must solve the CLAT 2027 Question Paper from past year too. The links to the previous year's question papers are provided on this page below.

CLAT Exam will be held in pen-and-paper mode. Candidates must start their preparation to score well in the exam. The Consortium will publish the CLAT 2027 Question Paper and CLAT Answer Key together once the exam is over. The CLAT Provisional Answer Key will be released within 24 hours online on the Consortium website. The CLAT OMR Sheet will be released along with it. CLAT Question Paper Format 2027

The CLAT Question Paper will be released online on the online portal only. It will have 120 mutliple-choice questions. For CLAT PG, the number of questions asked is the same. The consortium revised the CLAT Exam pattern in 2024, hence no changes are expected for 2027. Check major CLAT pattern highlights for both UG and PG courses below:

Q:   How to prepare for CLAT Legal Reasoning?
A: 

The Legal Reasoning section in the CLAT exam checks your ability to apply logical legal principle to given situations. Some of the important topics are Law of Torts, Contract and Criminal Law, Legal Maxims, etc. Candidates must include practicing passage based legal cases to apply logic and memorise law related to them.

Q:   Will marks be deducted for unanswered questions in CLAT?
A: 

According to the CLAT exam pattern, there will be no deduction of marks for unanswered questions. Such questions will not be taken into consideration while calculating the total marks of a candidate. Hence, if candidates are not sure about the answer of a question, it is better to leave it unattempted rather than doing a guess work, to avoid negative marking.

Q:   How can I get the CLAT Syllabus PDF?

Candidates can access the CLAT 2027 syllabus on consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The Consortium has not released the CLAT Notification yet. Once it is published, the syllabus will also be announced.

While it is not impossible, it is a really challenging task. To score well, you must start preparing for CLAT at least six months before. Similar to sample and question papers, CLAT mock test also forms an important aspect of CLAT 2027 preparation. You should practice at least one mock test for CLAT 2027 every day to strengthen your exam preparation. Some of the points that you need to keep in mind while attempting CLAT mock tests include

  • Once you have attempted the mock exam, analyse it carefully and note down your strong and weak areas

No. Since IIULER has officially joined the Consortium of NLUs, it no longer conducts a separate entrance test for admission to IIULER BA LLB (Hons.) course. Admission is strictly based on the CLAT (UG) merit list. If you miss the CLAT window, you generally cannot apply for that academic year.
