CAT 2019 result will be announced in a few days from now. Candidates who appeared in the exam on November 24 can download their CAT scorecard from IIMCAT website using their login credentials.

 

CAT result 2019 is expected to be announced on January 6 in online mode at iim.ac.in. The result cum scorecard of CAT 2019 exam will include details such as section-wise marks, overall marks and CAT percentile. Candidates will receive notification of announcement of CAT 2019 on their registered mobile number via SMS, as well,  on the result day. Candidates will be able to download CAT 2019 results through CAT login only. 

Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019 was held in CBT mode on November 24, 2019 in two sessions - forenoon and afternoon. CAT 2019 answer key was released on November 29. The question paper of both the slots were easier than previous years. The VARC section of both the slot however, was of higher difficulty level than DILR and QA. Due to the high difficulty level of VARC, sectional cut off is expected to fall this year. Post the declaration of CAT result, the IIMs will begin the shortlisting process for WAT/PI round.

Candidates will be able to check result of CAT 2019 online on the IIMCAT wesbite only. The candidates will be required to enter theit CAT login details to access their scorecard. Given below is the step-by-step process to check CAT result 2019.

  1. Visit the official website of CAT 
  2. Click on Login or CAT Results 2019
  3. Enter User ID and Password
  4. Click on CAT scorecard tab
  5. Download the result cum scorecard for future references

CAT result 2019 is released in online mode only. It will be available for download till December 31, 2020. Post the declaration of result, the IIMs will begin shortlisting the candidates will for Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). How is CAT Result Prepared

The result for CAT 2019 will be prepared on basis of the marking scheme for the exam. As per the CAT marking scheme, the following measures will be taken –

  • 3 marks for each correct response
  • -1 marks for each incorrect response
  • 0 negative marking for incorrect response in Non-MCQ questions
  • 0 marks allotted or deducted for question not attempted

Yes, CAT exam is MCQ type, meaning there are no subjective type questions wherein you have to write a lot. In CAT every question is to be answered in one word or option. However, all questions don't have MCQ options, some are Type In The Answer (TITA) questions.

Yes, students can prepare for the KMAT exam along with the CAT exam. However, CAT is comparatively a difficult MBA exam. The difficulty level of KMAT is easy to moderate, but CAT retains high difficulty levels. Students can use CAT books for KMAT preparation
