Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MAH CET) is one of the important exams for students in the state of Maharashtra This year, MAH CET was conducted on March, 14. The MAHCET is a state-level exam and is conducted for admission in some of the top B Schools of India such as JBIMS, SIMSREE, SIMSR Mumbai, WeSchool, etc.
In this article, we will discuss the analysis of MAH CET in detail
The difficulty level of sections in this exam was as follows:
Verbal Ability and Logical and Abstract Reasoning: Average to Difficult level

Quantitative Aptitude: Average level
Thus, the overall difficulty level this year was average to difficult level.
Verbal Ability
- This year, major changes were observed in this section. This section consisted of questions related to Synonyms, Antonyms, Para Jumbles (new type), Paragraph Completion, Grammar and its Error, Vocabulary, English Language, etc.
- Some of the questions from Reading Comprehension (RC) were difficult. Apart from these questions, the other questions of RC based on synonyms, antonyms, vocabulary, phrase, etc. were ranging from easy to average.
- Grammatical errors questions were difficult and tricky as well as time-consuming
- The questions from paragraph completion were also difficult as close options were given
- Questions of interchanging the words were of average level
Note: Attempt around 34 to 36 questions from a total of 50 questions from this section
Logical Reasoning
- The majority of questions (around 60) were from non-verbal reasoning while the remaining questions were from verbal reasoning.
- The questions of this section were on:
- Series
- Coding – decoding
- True - false
- Statements – conclusions, etc.
- This year, the questions of statements, arrangements and family tree were quite lengthy and also time-consuming.
- In the Verbal Reasoning section, there were more questions from the topics - Syllogism and Critical Reasoning.
- So, this year, this section was lengthy and time-consuming.
Note: Attempt around 44 to 46 questions from 75 questions from this section
Abstract Reasoning
- The difficulty level of questions in this section was average.
- The questions were from topics such as Series Completion, Analogy and Matching of Pair in this section.
Note: Attempt around 17 to 20 questions from 25 questions from this section
Quantitative Aptitude
- The difficulty level of questions in this section was average
- Good understanding of basic concepts could help in scoring well in this section
- In this section, there were around 20 questions on Graph, Pie-charts, Tables, etc.
- Around 10 questions were from the topic Arithmetic and the remaining questions were from Algebra, Geometry, Data Sufficiency, Approximation,
Note: Attempt around 34 to 37 questions from 50 questions from this section
Score to Percentile Prediction
- A score of 144 to 146 could be enough for getting 99.95 percentile and more.
