There are many students who face challenges and feel depressed. Their peer starts torturing them and this is the biggest scenario nowadays found in India. Students start pretending that their career got ruined, they are not good in their studies, etc., but such perceptions are totally wrong.
I have always believed that it’s the study that matters more than anything else. Yes, colleges do matter but to some extent only. I have seen several students who didn’t get their targeted colleges and yet they are doing their best.
Explore colleges based on CAT
There are various positive points you can take when you don't get your targeted college.
- You will get a chance to explore more on yourself.
- Congratulations you are out from the rat race that everyone is running.
- It may be possible that you are good at something else and you are trying something else.
- One thing that is maybe possible that you are trying for low and something bigger is waiting for you.
Apart from this, if you follow the below mentioned three steps then you will be able to stand the competition:
- Dive your headfirst to your second choice colleges.
- You can take a gap but take this step in a wise manner.
- Try your hardest if you have decided to take admission in the same type of industry.
I have seen that most of the students get rejected at the time of interview just because they don’t have a strong profile. So, if you are planning to take a gap then along with preparation, build a strong profile for the purpose of interview. It may be possible that you need some recommendations in interview. Go for it because many of the institutes target those students who have better recommendations from reputed faculties.
The challenges that students are facing are universal, they are being faced not by a particular student only. So, why listen to anybody, follow your heart and mind and do whatever you like and give your best. And there is a substitute for every failure and from that substitute, you can overcome. And keep in mind that taking a gap means you complete your college one year later and your parents have to pay an extra amount to build your career. If you will wait for your dream college then your post-college activities will be delayed.
Going with the second choice means that it may be a chance that a particular college will provide you some extracurricular to you and you will be able to define yourself in a better and efficient way.

Yes, CAT exam is MCQ type, meaning there are no subjective type questions wherein you have to write a lot. In CAT every question is to be answered in one word or option. However, all questions don't have MCQ options, some are Type In The Answer (TITA) questions.

Yes, students can prepare for the KMAT exam along with the CAT exam. However, CAT is comparatively a difficult MBA exam. The difficulty level of KMAT is easy to moderate, but CAT retains high difficulty levels. Students can use CAT books for KMAT preparation
