Admission through MBA CET score is a long process which includes category wise counselling for seat allotment. The Maharashtra CET State Cell conducts the entrance exam for MBA/MMS courses. Over 300 colleges and institutes participate in the counselling process which is called Centralised Admission Process or CAP. Candidates who clear the MAH MBA CET exam are eligible to participate in the CAP.

Shortlist colleges for MAH CET CAP 2026
By looking at the past year cut offs and their own MAH CET MBA score, candidates will have to shortlist the colleges that they are within their reach and apply to the same through the CAP registration form 2026. The seat will be alloted basis the MAH CET score and categories. Candidates can select upto 300 colleges in the CAP form as part of choice filling. Seat allotment will be done round wise and once a candidates accepts the seat, he/she will not be eligible for the next round.

To participate in the MAH MBA CAP process, candidates will have to first fill the CAP registration form 2026. Candidates having a valid score of CAT, MAT, ATMA, CMAT, XAT can also register for MBA CET CAP.

MAH CET score is valid for admission for one year only. Those who have appeared for MAH CET 2026, can seek admission to participating colleges this year only (2026-2028 batch) Candidates who will appear in MAH MBA CET 2027, their scores will be valid for admission to 2027-2029 batch of MBA programmes only. Those who wish to take a break of one year will have to appear for the exam again.
The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra uploaded round wise and category wise MAH MBA CET cut offs 2025 on its official website during the CAP process (July to September 2025). MAH CET cut offs refer to the percentile on the basis of which seats are allotted to candidates during the counselling process. Candidates do not have to meet any sectional cut off to be eligible for admission into a particular MBA college. MAH CET cut offs will be declared for four rounds. The MAH CET cut off percentiles will be released category wise.

MAH MBA CET cut offs are not announced along with result. They are announced during the Centralised Admission Process which is held 1 or 1.5 months after the result announcement.
For JBIMS, Mumbai, the MAH CET cut off is usually 99.99 percentiel. The cut offs have remained static in the past 3-4 years.
The MAH MBA CET cut offs for SIMSREE Mumbai is usually between 99.97 to 99.98 percentile.
Participate in MAH CET CAP 2026
Maharashtra State CET will allot seats to candidates on the basis of their MAH MBA CET 2026 score and category. The seat allotment will be done in four rounds. The MAH MBA CET 2026 cut offs will be released at the same time for two rounds and category wise. Candidates will be required to status online at the state CET CELL website and complete admission process at the college they have been allotted an MBA or MMS seat.
Opt for Upcoming National Level MBA Entrance Exams
If you don’t get the desired college through MAH MBA CET and decide to not take admission. You can take month off and start preparing for national level MBA entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, MAT, SNAP which will be held in November/December/January. Prepare for those exams to get a good Tier 1 or Tier 2 college. You can also get a MAH CET college next year through these exam scores.
