JET is an MCQ based exam. The question paper for every course is designed on the basis of the stream that it belongs to. There are 4-5 sections in each JET question paper (varies for different courses). Check below marks and number of questions.

Yes, the syllabus of JET exam is different for each course. While Reading Comprehension, Maths and General Knowledge is common for all courses, one section of syllabus is subject specific.

Q:   Is it compulsory to attempt GK section of JET exam?
A: 

It is compulsory to attempt all questions or all sections. Not attempting GK section will affect your overall score negatively as it is of 40 marks.

Q:   What is the process of JET exam?

It is mandatory to clear the JET exam to qualify. The admission through JET programs is based on merit and rank obtained by students in entrance exam. After clearing written exam there will be face group discussion and Personal Interview round. 

Q:   Can I take admission in Jain University without appearing for JET?
A: 

For MBA, students can take admission in Jain University without appearing for JET, only if they have scores of valid CAT/MAT/CMAT/NMAT/XAT. They can directly attend PI. However, for other courses, JET is mandatory.

Q:   What are some important instructions for JET?
A: 

Since JET is held in an Online Proctored Assessment method, candidates must take care of the following:

  • Supported Devices: Desktop computers and laptop computers. Webcam and Microphone are mandatory and must remain switched on during the duration of the test.
  • Non-Supported Devices: Android Devices, iPads and iPhone
  • Operating System: For Desktops and Laptops: Windows 7 or above (Windows 10 recommended), Mac OS 10.13 and above, and Linux (Ubuntu versions 18.04, 16.04, 15.04 only) systems.
  • Browsers: Google Chrome (84.0.4147.135 or later) is recommended. Only Google Chrome Browser needs to be used.
  • Minimum Configuration: Processor: Core 2 Duo and above.
  • Processor speed: 1.5 GHz and above; RAM: minimum 1 GB.
  • Minimum Internet Speed: 2 Mbps.
  • Others: Pop-up blockers on the web browser must be disabled.

Jain University JET BTech exam have questions from subjects namely, Physics Chemistry Mathematics, Aptitude & Logical Reasoning, and English.

Q:   Can I skip Math section in JET exam?
A: 

Math is an important section of JET exam for all courses, so it is not advisable to skip it. Moreover, it carries about 20 marks so not attempting any question from Math section may affect the overall result.

Q:   What are the maximum marks in JET exam?

Maximum marks in JET exam is 120. Every questions carries 1 mark for correct attempt and 0 for incorrect attempt.

JET date for Jain University BSc admission has not been revealed by Jain University on its official website. However, JET is conducted within the same dates for all UG courses offered by the institute.

Thus, candidates can expect JET for BSc to be conducted on either Apr 9th or 10th, 2026.

After JET result, qualifying candidates have to prepare and clear the selection round which include personal interview and counselling (for BTech). For MBA, candidates have to appear for personal interview, essay writing and micro presentation for MBA.

No, JET syllabus is not difficulty as it pertains to the subjects studied in previously. BTech exam has syllabus same as PCB. Other UG courses syllabus for JET includes topics studied in class 11 and 12. For MBA course exam, the syllabus is same as other entrances – quants, English, reasoning.
